The Ferrari 458 Italia (Type F142) is a mid-engine sports car produced by Ferrari. Production: 2009-2015. Predecessor: Ferrari F430. Successor: Ferrari 488.
Those are some scary specs..
But right now i cant put my finger on the design..
On these half cgi´ish pics it looks abit goofy..
But im sure it will be kick ass irl shots

What an Epic car. Oh happy day, I love it when Ferrari releases a new car. It's real occasion for the motoring enthusiast. Can't wait to get a glimpse of the cabin.

I think it has a lot of Enzo about it but doesn't come across as being as "clunkily styled".

Looks way more leaner than the 430, the 430 actually looked fat compared to this..
All new cars look fat compared to their older brothers..
But this one breaks the trend..its like one of those paper thin 80´s cars..lol ( in a good way):D

PS
A larger one:

So, the car is no update or anything from the F430, but a completely new development:

  • The Ferrari 458 Italia is a completely new car from every point of view: engine, design, aerodynamics, handling, instrumentation and ergonomics, just to name a few.

  • For the new chassis, once more in aluminium, Maranello's engineers incorporated various types of advanced alloys along with aerospace industry-derived manufacturing and bonding techniques.

The interior is absolutely mindblowing. Stunning, sick, fantastic :icondrool:bowdown:
I cannot get enough of this car, my new dream. Motoring perfection. It will eat the 911 GT2, another dream....
SLS will not be a sporstcar compared to this. SLS should be compared to the California.

That's 1380 kg - to be precise, Hadi. :) Nice to see you posting!

I think it's targeting the LP550-2?

The Lp550 has relatively the same weight, slightly slower 0-60 at 3.9 secs tho..

The technical specification is pretty amazing.
The nose also sports small aeroelastic winglets which generate downforce and, as speed rises, deform to reduce the section of the radiator inlets and cut drag.
This is straight from F1 technology. It will be nice to see how much they can deform.

Ferrari is well on top of their game with this new V8 engine. It is impressive already that this engine can rev to 9000rpm, it is more impressive to know that this is a direct injection engine, which means the fuel injection will have to be even quicker than conventional injection method to keep up with the engine.

The torque figure is also very impressive and I suspect, looking at the way the 2 intake chambers are connected to each other, Ferrari has done some clever air intake wave tuning to ensure maximum volumetric efficiency and combustion efficiency of this monster V8.

Just from on paper specification, this Ferrari is not only targeting the LP 550-2, it is designed to hammer the entire competition, LP 560, GT2, etc.

You didn't just ask that question Vroom, damn! I swear, I'll ban you for a week! :D ;)

Just kidding.

Yes, numbnuts of course it's mid engined! :D

I just thought all Ferrari's were Rear and front then when inspecting the clocks on the dash board I noticed the engine placement!

Thanks anyway man:usa7uh:
