Z Series [Official] E89 BMW Z4

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.
According to "kplsoleil" on zpost, here's the list of exterior color choices:

Metallic
Black Sapphire
Deep Sea Blue
Metallic
Orion Silver (this is the silver we see in the BMW press images)
Space Gray
Titanium Silver

Nonmetallic
Alpine White
Jet Black
Crimson Red
Scott or Eni, can you confirm us these colors ? And what is the third one, just "mettalic" ?

And havana will only be available with the white leather option ?

That means there won't be any real dark color available except the black ??? Space gray is not dark for me... I Prefer Stratusgrau...

By the way, can you confirm this one is havana ?

Is the Z4 only offered in xDrive because the standard rear wheel drive would just kill you?:D

yes, those are the paints

calling a 3.0 Liter i35...

I dont know how old you guys are here... when i was "younger" a 2 liter was called 20i and a 3 liter engine was called 30i. plain and simple.

i would say some 10 years ago when the turbocharger became more and more "massmarket" BMW (and of course others) startet to market the same engine with different powersteps - more or less only due to different electronics - as it is common today. at that time they started to give the engines names which were not based on the displacement of the engine but on the displacement it WOULD have to have, if it were a non-turbo - engine.

and today? - I feel like they just give them some names to make old guys like me THINK they buy a 5 liter - but it is only 4.4.... 750i simply is more impressive then 744i -

it is still stupid...:eusa_doh:

No, it's only offered in RWD sDrive. sDrive is new, and is for RWD cars.

Anyways....Havana looks stunning :icondroolHavana + black leather is pure win.

According to this picture yes but there's two big problems:

- first it seems that this color is only available with the special white leather option, that would mean Havana + black leather is impossible... but i'd want a confirmation of that...

- and also it seems that this picture (if it's indeed havana) is not really showing the color as it is... from what I've seen on BMW.de configurator (on the 3 series convertible for example) the colour seems browner than what we see... I'll wait to see it in real life to take a decision...

For choosing a color, real life is the only way to go. Pics always make them look slightly different.

If were going to buy this new Z4, my option would be clear, deep sea blue as exterior color ALWAYS, and would doubt between black or white interior, probably black because is less dirty, and of course with the alu trim (and extender leather option).

Yep, Deep Sea Blue 100% without question. Interior color is kind of difficult right now...I'll wait for the configurator on BMW.com with that one...

I think so too. The blue one from the press-pictures looks absolutely stunning, no question which color to choose. :icondrool
