Cadillac CT5 [Official] Cadillac CT5

The Cadillac CT5 is a mid-size luxury car manufactured and marketed by General Motors under the Cadillac brand since 2019. It is the replacement for the Cadillac CTS.

Typical BMW fanboys
John, I understand your depression and anguish. Some 35 years ago I wanted a bicycle for Christmas but received a pullover. You must feel the same way, I know.

The CT5 is a decent design marred by unfortunate busy detailing. This will be an also-ran in the segment but thankfully no longer an embarrassment.

Cadillac looks better than these 2 asian bs taken all together :)
I don't find new BMW particularly nice looking car or anything new.
But it doesn't have something that will make you go " Hmmm...is this right? Should that part be here?"
Now if you put aside that C pillar third window on CT5 (make it invisible with black color:D) to me the car does look nice ..but unfortunately there is that C pillar and you have to ask yourself "Why..why did they put it there and why does it look the way it does".
Maybe it will look better in real pictures for car show (New York).I really hope it does. But i'm more interested to see how interior will look like.

Cadillac can not afford to make mistakes. Even in U.S.A more people are buying sedans from Mercedes, or BMW than Cadillac. I'm betting Cadillac ATS, CT6, and CTS combined doesn't sell as much as C class alone in U.S.A.

This car just doesn't look attractive at all, other cars that are pretenders to the Big German 3 throne, such as the Volvo S60, Genesis G70 and Kia Stinger and even the aged Lexus LS350 all look much better. The CT5 has very odd front lights and the rear C-pillar/window kink looks awful.

Blasphemy, Pastor John will anathematize you!

For the most part I am not bothered ny the faux third window panel on the C-pillar. I know it's cheap visual trickery, but I can get over it. The headlights I do find odd....it's like a cross between a BMW F30 3er and a Chevy Cruze. The rear is nice and tidy except for that infernal center reverse light that's housed on the bumper (This is where I meditate so I can bring my heart rate down). Overall, the exterior is fine but does risk of looking old faster than I'd like. I have feeling it will be a spirited ride, if the plaudits of the ATS and current CTS are any indication. The interior...that's where I have a feeling is where we are going to be very much let down.

The thing is that Cadillac really needs to wow the crowd. There needs to be that "buzz." I don't get that with the CT6 or the XT4 or the XT5 or this. I'll take John's words that the Escalade will have a world-class. However, I take it with a grain of salt, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as I stand to lose nothing by doing that. But Cadillac/GM ought to have placed a greater deal of emphasis on these cars (XT4, XT5, CT5) as these are the bread-and-butter segment where they could make a lot of money, particularly in the crossover segment. I can't help but think the upper management types are just twiddling their thumbs while placing their heads firmly up their own arses. They really ought to look at the cross-town rival and see what Lincoln did with Navigator and Aviator.

The C-pillar has already grown on me with the new colours. I think this car will look fantastic in person. It looks much more expensive than everything from its segment.

Yay, another new uninteresting Cadillac... On to the next thread.

That new Genesis may already have it's number.

Those lights look confused, as if they're not sure what they're meant to be. It looks weird.

Were this...say...2015, I may very well exclaim "BRAVO". But well into 2019, I can muster no more than a "whatever".

Of course Europe is a big market, but the consumption habit of European are quite special comparing to China and US.

This truly is the world upside down :D

This new Caddy looks vile, as expected. Looks like an Korean design and thus completely hideous.

At least, some Korean once designed some known cars for some eastablished eurpean and US car makers, and Korean owned a well kown car maker which ranked no.3 on annual sale figures in the world at present.I don't a understand a rude man like you from Hollland has any qualification to look down on Korean. haha.
Be honesty, this is a car forum biased German car,if you said something similar in a other car forum which German car fans are minority, you will lose face.

Sorry, but a forum where German car fans are minority can not be a car forum.

Judging by the previous attempts, this one looks quite conventional and easy to the eye. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel like a premium model. Another missed opportunity.
