I dare to think what transpired, LOL!

I have asked my friend about those recent reports about V8 hybrid.

His answer:
-no, this is false, V16 was planned from the beginning, and the engine is already developed
-design is almost finished, maybe there will be only minor adjustments in future
-yes, Q2 2024 debut, concept/preproduction car
-yes, production date probably wont be before 2026. Development is nowhere near finished, to make everything work is not easy obviously
-everything is bespoke and built from scratch, even buttons in interiour

He told me that prototype is stripped to the bone with removed passenger seat and everything unnecessary. They also installed smaller and much lighter battery pack.
Maybe if we had had a few more beers he would have sent me that video:D

I forgot to mention that the car will be slightly smaller in dimensions than Chiron. But how they managed to fit V16 and batteries is unknown to me. I'm just passing information I've heard.

But in fact, this car is not smaller than Chiron.
Do you have any more information about this car?

Thank you for the information, I have also confirmed from relevant sources that the hybrid Bugatti will be equipped with a V16 engine. I got news that Bugatti may announce the power system of the Chiron successor at this year's Monterey Car Week, and then release the appearance of the car next year. Can you please ask your friends if this news is true? Thank you!

Electric Veyron? Got to be a reason why Rimac bought them right?

No it's the Bugatti Chiron Supersport replacement, is a hybrid with a naturally aspirated engine. Mate Rimac stated this years ago. When the development was costing Volkswagen too much money, presumption, Porsche took control of the shares and then the alliance of Bugatti-Rimac was forged.

In fact Volkswagen Executive's at the very highest levels asked Mate straight if he wanted to take over Bugatti, the second time he realised they were serious. Very.

Outright Director Oliver Blume did an interview about some of it but I'll see if I can find it.

The actual design of the car has already been shown to those, some (VVIP's) already. It's well known in interviews what Achim Anscheidt and Frank Heyl have stated from memory when likely unvielings will be and obviously not too hard to work out production cycles from that.

The new Rimac Nevera variant is been shown PRIOR to Monterey Car Week. Obviously they've other things taking centre stage as a result.

Also Rimac didn't "buy" Bugatti. No money was exchanged. Shares were, just saying.
