X7 [Official] BMW X7 (G07)

The BMW X7 is a full-size luxury crossover sport utility vehicle manufactured by BMW. It is BMW's largest and second most expensive SUV in its line-up. The X7 was first announced by BMW in March 2014. It was officially unveiled on October 17, 2018, with pre-orders being taken online. The X7 has been available at dealers since March 2019.
Man... I like the current X7. Not sure why BMW is messing up its front end.

To me, the FL should have just made car closer to the concept. New rearlights, 4er GC door handles and that's it.

I assume it will also get the weird i4 interior scheme.

Serious question, being similar the new approaches of the fronts of the X7 - XM - 7 series, which are coming, would it be rational to think that the 7 series should be the one presented first, so as not to kill the novelty?

Officially 7 presented first. Followed by X7.
The first new era GKL car will be 8/M8 in LCI.

This particular prototype is the LCI X7 M50i which will have the newly developed (by BMW-M NOT BMW AG) S68 V8 engine. This engine will replace the current N63 V8 engine and will also appear in the LCI X5/X6 M50i, the G70 750iX, the new BMW XM and next generation M5. BMW decided to take the same route as Mercedes where AMG was in charge of developing all variants of Mercedes current V8 engine.

So the N63 is the last BMW AG V8, then. One for the history books. Maybe one more year and then every N63 is replaced by S68. Sounds exciting not gonna lie.

N63 will live on in the new Range Rover, lol

Despite future versions being more reliable, I’m not sure the history books will treat the N63 favorably. The first generation N63 was just embarrassing from a reliability standpoint.

Hmmm, interesting. So the new M5 will remain using a V8. I thought the last ICE M5 would have an I6 instead.

Any info on which BMW will be the last one using a V8? G60 5er of next X5/X6 perhaps?

Favorably or not, it'll go down in history as the last BMW AG V8, and that's something very special indeed.

Will the LCI of the 8er come with the S68 too?

And not only that, but pretty much a brand new M made V8.
CLAR based cars will likely keep the V8, and I think the Neue Klasse based cars will not. I don't know what platform the next X5 (and all it's derivatives X6, X7, X8) will be based on, but I think it won't be CLAR if the next 3er launches on Neue Klasse in 2025.

The LCI on the 8er will be more like an "LCI-lite" and unfortunately will not initially come with the new S68 engine. It's possible the 8er might receive the new S68 engine one model year after the LCI-lite . The first BMW to receive the new S68 engine will be the G70 750iX. Expect to see the LCI-lite 8er early next year (Q1 of 2022)

Do you if, as rumors suggested, there won't be a second gen 8er?
