With slimmer lower lights, I can get on board with this.

Audi basically have this kind of interpretation on the Q8, and nobody questions that. Same with the big grilles.

The criticism is aimed at rather the execution than the idea itself, I don’t see a BMW with this exact front design anywhere close to a Q8

And everyone comes with the grill, why is the BMW grill is being criticized so much - I tell you it’s not because of the size, because there are lots of brands which use larger grills, Mercedes, Audi, VAG on many other brands beside Audi, Cadillac etc, but they all look coherent with the rest of the car and not like an afterthought. Also another very important factor is that other brands make large but horizontally oriented grillwith thin horizontal headlight serving as an extension of the line, but not BMW - they make thin and long horizontal headlights, with slim and long vertical grills, how the hell can that look good?
The only car where long vertical grills looked good was the Next100 concept, because it was coherent with the vertical headlight.

i wouldn't deny it. Those pictures just don't proof it as BMW used "fake fronts" for their early stage test mule before. I'm still not convinced that they will use double headlights.

Looks kinda good since it’s an suv, but i’m curious to see how this split headlight design will look on the new 7er. It’s definitely radical to say to least.

Although the current one looks totally current, fresh and is very successful, this LCI puts it again at the forefront by modernizing it and in appearance it is a fairly extensive restiling

You only ever post comparisons where the BMW wins. In every thread. It's quite transparent really.

This is the wrong place though, as I am not expecting to see that ugly GLS in an X7 thread, we have Internal Combustion for that. But GLS vs X7 is like E class vs 5er. Surely the E class occasionally wins, but it plays second fiddle to the 5er.

Wouldn’t even use the word “occasionally” I’d say “ rare” is appropriate....that the E or GLS or any Mercedes wins against a bimmer ...bar the S class.
