X5 [Official] BMW X5 (G05)

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.
Sorry, I usually don‘t hit the disagree button but, in this case I really had to.
First, I think the X5 has traditionally been the vehicle introducing new interior elements .... didn‘t the F15 start with the freestanding screen back then, for instance? The X5 has a great reputation at BMW (opposite to the borderline neglected 7er) because it sits between upper business and luxury class but at the same time sells well and is highly profitable. So it’s entirely understandable to me.
Second, this is really clean design. Sure, I would have also preferred the rearlights to be greyed out in the way the new X4 solves it. But basically, all lines make sense, the greenhouse-body composition is practically flawless. Mercedes may use less creases, however, there are still lines running all over the metal. Maybe I can share a more thorough analysis of this later on ...

Edit: Weight kinda disappointing. As is this door deco panel topic. Anxiously waiting for the production version solution. Seems like they are still playing round.

E70 was also the first with that kind of interior, but again, there wasnt x7 back in the days

That will be your X6!

I think the rear lights suit the design of the car. If it had lights like the previous gen, it would make the back look very heavy again

Great car great interior, but f#cking hell those rear light are so bothering me, they finally got back that quality feel to the detail execution but now the core theme is generic and boneless. I thought interior was perfect but something missing, the trim on the door panel. I hope X7 will change that.

You all say BMW need to change their design - they switch it up by deriving from the typical L shaped rear light, now you all complain?

At the moment the X2 is the BMW with the best rear.

For the record, I think this new X5 looks fine... My only complaint are the tail lights, which are generic looking. When you look at the tails of the other X-models you know you're looking at a BMW from the design of the tail lights alone.

Sweet!!

I like the profile, I like the rear I was tired of the L shape tail lights, it looks like a small Lincoln Navigator now.
The front grill ilia huge but somehow some very nicely gives the car some flair.
Now the interior Hype I do not understand it’s the same old bmw design polished and shuffled crap.
Fed up, do what you did with the rear lights and grow a pair and make a new design direction for interiors.
Shit has been going on since the E65 7er, give it some rest.

THE X5: behold Bayerische Motoren Werke..fitted with our ultra luxurious plastic steering wheel and shift pedals.

I really like the car, and specially the interior is a massive upgrade in terms of how it looks for me. But I thought all that luxury “sub-brand” pr meant something. But obviously just BS.

Even the A-class steering wheel looks and is better finished. I mean..that’s the only thing you’re always touching on a car man.

If you’re using the same steering on all cars, which is common practice now, at least make a decent one.
If you know the bmw cars more u wont say this
That all of them have the same steering wheel
Go check the new 5er and the new X5 and u will know what is the different.

That looks absolutely gorgeous ^^ OMFG what an amazing car X5 M50d-sweet Jezuuss !
