X1 [Official] BMW X1 (F48)

The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman.
BMW does Mercedes - 'cheating'. BMW is offering a larger fuel tank for an extra price.
Standard : 51 liters
Larger fuel tank: 61 liters

(only the weakest and the most powerful engine use a standard tank but for the rest of the line up there is 61 liters tank available.)

First real pictures of the M Sport Packet.
As you can see a mini-X5 M vibe. But there is a 300PS+ M Performance model on the horizon.

I'm ashamed at how much of a "follow fashion monkey" I've become. A few years back I would have bemoaned so many things about the prospects of this upcoming "MX1", but now I find myself looking forward to the proposition. There are no more sacred cows...next I'll be lauding a front wheel drive Porsche!

Shame it doesn't have a mini X5 interior. I sat in that exact car yesterday in Frankfurt and IMHO the interior LOOKS cheap and doesn't give off a BMW vibe at all. That's the case with ALL the models with this style interior. The 2er GT etc.

I have seen several on the street already and it looks so good from the outside. Shame the intefior feels crappy.

I hope the next 1er has a more upscale interior.

I have discovered yesterday the x1 and IT good no cheap feeling neither looking AT it or touch it. It is a very good car what I can say without A test drive. It was A white x-line one like on the press pictures. The x1 is now more practical with A very good Design the cemter console is better refigned then in the 2AT. This will be a huge succes. I don't know what you expect from A entry Level suvbut my opinion it is way ahead of IT competitors.

Cant wait to make my own opinion and order one asap if it's good looking both outside and inside, wouldn't mind the 25xe after the diesel gate here in Europe :))

Nah, sorry chaps - it's just not my cup of tea. It's so low in those shots - might as well be a 2er Inactive Tourer. FWD BMWs are so blech.

Drove a 330d again yesterday. Time to replace the 320d? Not with an X1 I won't!
