M3/M4 [Official] BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M
- To N-ring nerds, BMW says the M3 is more than 10 seconds quicker than previous M3.
- The manual gearbox is 12 kg lighter than the manual transmission in M3 E92.
- M3 has an aerodynamically better shape than the M4, however the integrated M4 trunk spoiler compensate it.
- The new M's are more or less developed around the steering.
- Automatic rev matching on the manual transmission only works in Sport+ mode.
- Some technology found in 4.4L 450hp engine has moved on to the new M3.

It is cheaper than a 328i in Australia too.

You're really going to hate us for this, but US M3/4 buyers also receive a t-shirt to emphasize just how affordable the car is compared to the rest of the world.

Oh I must have forgotten to tell you I am moving to your house in the US right at this moment. (y)

I remember when I paid for my babybimmer, more expensive than a 335i in US. Crazy!

Ok. Thanks. I'm not so sure the price differences are that big, especially when you take into account "relative" prices and incomes.

I don't belive those prices include taxes?

The taxes depend on the state you register the car in and to a small extend even the county you reside in. There are few states with no state sales tax so those prices would pretty much be the final price in those states (provided the car is not subject to gas guzzler tax which is a federal tax).

The M4 will cost 98.000USD in Bulgaria where the average salary is 540USD... per month :)
That's where I'm coming from, guys. It's the reason why people think you are a mob if you're driving a BMW M or some AMG. Most of the time they are spot on... unfortunately. Driving a brand new Mazda or a VW through a country village in Bulgaria is like rolling in a Phantom through the ghettos of LA (lol it's not that bad but you get the idea)

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
