Legal issue in many countries I believe? Might be wrong though. Plus it would make less people opt for xenons or leds, I'd assume.Surprised they don't use the white light bulbs (with similar looking light to xenons) on the halogen light models.
Surprised they don't use the white light bulbs (with similar looking light to xenons) on the halogen light models.
But apparently the car needs a cheap option too, still. And while Xenon has been around for like 2 decades, it's still not exactly cheap.
Yeah I do understand your concern. Feels weird that only the two are options, especially when you look at the price of optional Led headlights on current models. Bit like offering just drum and ceramic brakes and leaving out "normal" disc brakes.Xenons don't have to be expensive because they aren't all that really. But when you're looking to maximise profit from your optional extras it's quite easy to make Xenons look expensive based on the selling price.
My Forester has Xenons as standard. They should at least be so with the selection of a Line package leaving LEDs as the additional cost option. I can't bear to think about the additional cost of LEDs over Xenons still nor am I prepared to buy a luxury compact sedan with halogens. Pretty simple stuff really.
Not all people need the extra lighting power
Did look for M3 thread but couldn't find it. I was still tired I guess.I like it, but why post it here?
Hi,
Do anyone know why F30/31 LCI are 35 - 40kg heavier than the pre LCI version? It is not due to more equipment and the new B-engine family are lighter than the old ones......
Maybe because of the added coolness?Hi,

The MY2016 M3 Sedan (F80) starts production in July 2015, and receives a majority of the F30 interior Lifecycle Impulse (LCI) measures.
Standard equipment and pricing have changed versus MY15, as the following optional equipment is now standard for MY16:
• Comfort Access Keyless Entry (322)
• Satellite Radio with 1-year subscription (655)
• Harman Kardon Surround Sound System (688)
I am happy to report that from the same source as I posted above, Sakhir Orange Metallic (B50) will make a return and be available as well
LCI Changes: Exterior

• Center-stack changes:
• Pearlescent chrome applications for radio/climate control
