Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

People, you can't really expect a BIG difference in body work from this minor facelift and want it to look like the F01 7 series because this is still an E90, although the rear lights are shaped to look more modern and up to date. Also, the front indicator lights are similar to the ones on the 7 series. Overall, I think you would have to wait until 2012/2013 (i'm guessing) to see the new 3 series adapt the new BMW design elements. Like Eni said, we need to stop bitcing about the looks without explanation because you never know, in real life or in different colour, you will see the differences. BMW never fails at suprising us with facelifts or new cars.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

I think the FL is excellent. An added amount of subtle agression and it flows very well with the original design.

BUT I do think Luw may have a point about there being too much red on the tail lights. But then I didn't have a problem with the original ones and quite liked them. ;)

Look forward to more pics and info on the under skin upgrades.

When I saw the pics, I just thought: Thank god! The car looks excellent, hase very good style and design, is well balanced. And this although -as you can see in my posts before- I was really concerned about the new design.

If the car comes as shown in the pictures -together with all the additional other features, I-drive, navi, etc.- I can just say it was really worth to wait for the FL. Thank you BMW !!! :usa7uh:

Best Regards!

Emery

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

This is how a 3 series should look. Classic. The pre FL 3er was extreme in the details including the tail lamps and front grille, both of which looked heavily contrived in an attempt to show you just how "new" the E90 was. This refreshed design makes no compromises and brings you back to the originality and character of BMW design.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Looks good in red:). Any new colors with facelift?

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Nice, typical mild German car facelift.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

I see quiet few changes and I like the new car a lot. Newly profiled hood, very stylish headlamps, nicely redesign grille, I like new mirrors and nicely revised tail lamps giving great look from the back. The car looks sportier and more aggressive. :usa7uh::t-drive:

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Exactly...YOUR opinion. But the reality defenitely shows different. We all know that A4 won almost every test between those.

To me, the 3er is still last, but the gap between thes 3 big ones descreased a lot with this minor facelift.

But even if the A4 is a great car, which it is, it is still badly designed. It looks like a stretched out A5. The A5 is a masterpiece and the A4 looks like a bland reproduction. So, the A4 last in terms of design, no doubt abuot that.

BMW's wagons look better than their sedans in the case of the 3-Series and the M5/M5 Touring IMO.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Hear me corrected! The new head lights and tail lights are amazing:D But still...Front bumper and Wing mirrors are just:t-banghea

Oh and the Touring version...Is amazing:D

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Very nice looking vehicle. Always was. Looks even better now. Interior still doesn't look special enough for me. Missing some extra wood or metal or something to set it apart from the rest. Overall, very happy with this vehicle.

Wonder if the 335i will boost the same engine spec as the new 740i/Li combination?

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Perfect! Just what this car needed: better looking tail lights, more aggressive front, more LEDs and different hood.

In standard trim, C and especially A4 have no chance against it IMO.

Now, show it with M package and Montego blue...

How do you know that?

:t-cheers:

From the first page ;)

Powertrains include two carryovers: the 328i with a 3.0-liter, 230-hp inline-six and the 335i with a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, 300-hp inline-six.

New to the lineup, arriving in showrooms in November, is the 335d, with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo, 265-hp, inline-six diesel, which uses a urea-injection system to meet U.S. emissions standards. The diesel will be offered only in the sedan.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

I really hope the diesel is made available with the sport package just like the 328/335i models. Why MB doesn't let Americans order the sports package on the E320 Bluetec is beyond me!

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

265-hp, inline-six diesel, in Europe the power for 335d is 286hp
