Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

265-hp, inline-six diesel, in Europe the power for 335d is 286hp

From another tread:

Due to e-mission restrictions, the U.S. version of the 335d will reportedly be down on power from its European cousin (265 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque vs. 282 hp and 428 lb-ft.), but even our U.S. numbers—especially the fat torque number—promise terrific performance that may well be enough convince people to make the move to diesel.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

well bmw needed this facelift with teh new a4 and new c
but i think they could have done better.the front looks very nice the bumper and i love that hood the lightscould have been better

side profile looks same

the rear i dont think its much off a improvement they sould have rether used the example off the cope therse rear lights are better then the first but they still seem akward why didn they draw inspiration from the coupe

interiro is same almost except i drive and screen the wood in those pics are horrible

overall not a good enough facelift still dull in terms off lokks both int and ext next to the newc just my opionions

as for engines they have the best in class so no worries their

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Wonder if the 335i will boost the same engine spec as the new 740i/Li combination?

Nope.

US market gets additional 335d 3.0L I6 diesel twin-turbo with 265hp, while Europe gets additional 320xd (so I4 diesel with xDrive), and 330d 3.0L I6 diesel single-turbo gets a power boost to 245hp.

You MB boys are hard to satisfy :D

lol

hey just me my cousin had a 320d and although i respect the 3er and always felt the 3er was the best in class in some off the generations i felt it was way better then teh equal merc like the previous gen and especially the one before i felt the 3er was king i did prefer the 190 t the 3er off that gen but the two gen after i felt the 3er was king by far

with the current 3er and c my opinion is that mer is better bec they made a huge improvement in terms off design and build quality and also reide handling and comfort and i feel that the 3er hasent been as great a improvement and this current 3er to me i feel hasnt been sport enogh especailly the basic models its just my opinion

as for that wood its horrible dont you think or agree

My father drives a 325i E90, no complaints there..

I driven all three germans and E90 is my favorite drive. Previous 3-series was already a good car and its not easy to improve something thats already good ;)

I dont like the new C-class in classic style, looks dull to me. The new C-class really need the Avantagarde trim to look really good. I rate E90 and C-class above A4.

Wood? Im not a wood guy, I prefer aluminium.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Whats with all the hood bulges lately. Decoration or part of the European pedestrian regulations?

More upright & vertical nose with less sloppy hood: EU pedestrian safety regulations.

Bulges: decorative, or functional (higher engine placement, or bigger engine)

Creases: decorative - idea deriving from GINA Light Concept, first seen on Z4 M, later Hydrogen 7, Individual 6er cabrio, X5, X6 etc. Now FL 3er get this feature as well. And E89 Z4 will have it as well. Btw, PAS is coming with a single central crease on a hood - instead of double creases. :usa7uh:

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Oh I see. Well its the creases that I think we can do without.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Oh, you don't like them? I certainly do.:icondrool

I guess you don't like them on C63 too...? :eusa_thin;)

nice car you got the interiro in my c is aliminuim i got a avantgarde i prefer the black wood but here in sa we dont get the option .yes the classic is not teh best but i think the avangade is awesome and also i like the elegance very classsy and beutifull

as for the facelift of teh 3er i like the front a lot and a big improvement compred to your pic i really like the bonnet

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

Nope, too many creases in the hood isn't attractive to me. The new Nissan Maxima takes it to the extreme. Just the creases that lead up to the A-pillars in the Maxima's case and the 2 in the center of the hood of this FL 3-series. Its overdone IMO. Power domes or bulges look great on the other hand.

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

like the crease on the hood looks dynamic the front is good but not too much improvement in terms off rear and inside

but i think most compamies facelifts arent great anymore look at mbs ml and b and a not much their lol

Re: Offical: BMW E90/E91 Facelift Thread

I would say that the regulations regarding pedestrian safety plays a big part...
