Where did you get these pics? They are GEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, you would have been an uninformed fool if you'd done that ;)
I mean, people buying cars without doing any research on when a facelift might come are not the smartest people in my book :)

But I catch your drift Merc....it would be highly unfortunate.

That is a little harsh and unfair to BMW buyers and buyers in general IMO. Because judging by the sales numbers, that is most BMW buyers and car buyers in general. Very few if any buyers know about pending facelifts and even fewer would think a facelift would come so soon after a new model was introduced, i.e. the M3. Who wouldn't want an M3 right now?

Hey, long time no see Hussein!

Great to see ya around:t-cheers:

Thanx.. I've been quite busy with my studies last months:)

M3: I still don't understad why BMW revealed the M3 Sedan few months before the facelift. I mean if the for some reason had to reveal it at that date, why not give it the FL rear lights and present it as a sneak peak for the FL of the standard 3er. Audi did that with the RS6 (headlights).

Photoshop or not , the facelifted M3 is getting the new taillights. End of story!

Yes, but maybe its release will be postponed...

That would be the logical move, postpone it 1.5 years instead of screwing over early adopters. The 911 face recently facelifted but the GT2 won't be touched until late 2009 or early 2010.

^ logical for you, nonsense for me

You guys don't seem to realise that the only difference on the outside with the pre-facelifted is the boot, right? NOTHING else for the M3.

A new boot + updated graphics for the backlights is maybe €1500....

I was guessing, I'm not sure how much it will cost exactly. All I'm saying is, is that the new M3 sedan only has a different boot. It's identical to the pre LCI for the rest...
Of course early adopters still are stuck with an old cabin with old iDrive....

Well you wouldn't be calling it nonsense if you had been invited by BMW to early this year to order an E90 M3 which is bound to become obsolete before you even reached the first service interval.

€1 500? You're dreaming, the new tail lights are complete different featuring CS-styled inner cluster, the boot has been redesigned and there are most likely some technical differences in the wiring. This is not LEGO and some custom work might even be necessary. A conversion would cost 2-3 times that. Add to that the fact that we haven't even seen the front yet which might be sporting refreshed head lights. Plus there's the new iDrive plus other new updates not visible to the.

Hopefully Scott or Eni can tell us if the facelift is Due in August or at a later stage.

Really? seriously obsolete?

If they didn't update it, people will probably be bitching about that now. :t-banghea
