The BMW x3 35D is the competitor for the sq5 TDI. Like Deckhook said the Alpina xd3 Biturbo is really a other level.

I know Tumbo you are disagreeing with me on this one despite my nearly buying one but we need to look at the facts here it's got more power and torque so whilst it won't be hugely quicker in double figures I'm guessing beyond that it will steadily stretch away.

If I were the type to keep a car for longer than a year or so this would be high on my list, a definite keeper but I reckon it will command a healthy premium over the regular X3 35d which may sore those desires some what.

If you look at the B3, B5, B6 and B7 they have the BMW AG bumpers with add-ons. This XD3 has BMW M bumper with add-ons, and not the normal BMW AG bumper.

^It does look similar in some elements, maybe there's only so much you can do with an X3 and Alpina felt what BMW did with its M/Sport pack only needed subtle tweaks.
