I'd love to see a Brooklands successor.

Not going to happen, unfortunately. They did customer clinics already with Grand Convertible. Not enough interest.

A pity. Looked gorgeous.

A European tunner is currently developing their own Brooklands successor for a customer. Personally, the only company that should ever be chopping a Mulsanne is Bentley.

Someone needs to hire a customer taste consultant/police at Mulliner. Some of their recent work is just revolting.

What resale value?

Again with the different colored seats.... They're trying to make it a trend with 50 similar editions being built.

Still my favorite ultimate luxury car. The Rolls as beautiful as it is, is still an older man's car in my eyes.

That is interesting. No Mulsanne Coupé, no new Phantom Coupé, [rumoured] no successor to the C217: Why are large coupés suddenly out of favour?

The Wraith and Dawn are doing well though - aren't they?

Ehh.. in reality - (a bit) below expectations. The whole "x amount of years is spoken for" is almost always a line of total BS. It really means customer orders & dealership allocations for inventory.

The Wraith started off as a very hot a new niche model, but has cooled off quite a bit. Lots of unsold 2016/17 (a few 2015s) Wraiths sitting in dealer inventories right now; and there's almost an equal amount of Dawns. *Based on U.S inventories

That's essentially why a local dealership called and asked if I wanted to take a Wraith on a extended test drive for 3 days to see how I like it. Definitely wouldn't have happened if they were still flying off the lots.

Actually, I pulled up official figures and it ain't so pretty. Rolls Royce does not specify its US sales by model, so here's Europe's Wraith sales this year:

Interesting, what kind of deals are they offering for you on the Wraith?

To purchase, they were offering $259k with a $362k MSRP. So $103k off for a 2016 demo with less than 2k miles. Wish I took a clearer picture of the window sticker

And these lease deals are acutally more attractive than a S65 (limited mileage aside). I wasn't aware leasing RRs was a big thing until recently:

lol at this 144 month lease with unlimited miles. Pretty desperate.

Who is gonna lease a car for 144 months?
And I thought you couldn't lease a Rolls?!

12 years... absolutely silly. No one nowadays owns a new luxury car for 12 straight years.

Same here, up until recently I thought perspective owners just bought them.

It's technically BMW financial services as the lessor, and you know "lease-special" happy they are.

I spent a few hours driving this Mulsanne today. Truly an extrodinary automobile. Stately presence and the build quality is beyond reproach. Decided to pass on a RR trade deal in the end.

I first saw the Mulsanne at Pebble Beach 2009 when Jay Leno & Arnold Schwarzenegger did the intro for it's world premiere; 8 years later it looks just as stunning with this choice specification

Did it feel large and heavy or is the power delivery good even when feathering the throttle at low speed?

classy spec all around.

It's feels gargantuan on the streets; I avoided NYC all together on my drive. Hate to use it as a comparison, but it's a saloon about the size of an Escalade ESV (lwb).

Power deliver is locomotive with the crazy 752 lb/tq. Easily the smoothest V8... I'd say ever, but my sample size is not big enough to be conclusive.

Wow, scary. No injuries, thankfully.

The second time I've seen this happen. This guy reacted much more positively than all of us ever would.
