TT Official: Audi TT-RS

Ahem **SLK55 AMG** ahem...;):D

Hrmm.. maybe I have to rephrase that; is it possible for BMW to be the only German manufacturer not to offer hardcore versions of their small cars? :D

The TT-RS does for Audi what a 1-series CSL or maybe a Z4 M would have done for BMW in terms of projection of core brand values. Maybe BMW does not want to have that sporty image anymore.

*gulp* according some guy from Audi Sweden, price will be almost 700.000 swedish kronor (61.700 Euro). For comparison, its more than M3/C63 AMG and IS-F.

Oh no,please Audi no ridiculous price positioning:eusa_doh:

RS are for those who seeks the exclusive club of Renn Sport enthusiast.
Yes it costs and that price seems very true,

In Norway
TT costs 730 000,- NOK RS models is often 250 000 - 300 000 more.
Makes the TT[RS] cost 1 million NOK. haha, that's insane and I love it.

How does the new TT RS compare to SLK55 in ur country guys?

If the SEK 700,000 figure is right, then the SLK55 and TT-RS are equally priced.

Interesting,i'd hate to pay that much for a turbo 5 so i think if it were my own money i'd go with a FL V8 SLK55:D

I can't find the price but it's 840 000 NOK before Norways tax hell... :D
means over 1 million NOK. I would gess 1,1 1,2 :D Welcome to Norway.
Where the taxes costs more than the car!

EDIT: found it, 1,3 million NOK ,-
Shit!

Holy crap!:eek2:

But not worse than the taxes here where the tax can exceed 5 times the car's price:t-banghea:t-banghea:t-banghea

:D

The (Golf-based) TT requires a transverse engine whilst the Audi V6 Kompressor engine requires Audis modular longitudinal chassis architecture.

Thanx:usa7uh:

Too bad coz that engine proved more than worthy in the S4 guise:D,and a RS model with a V6 kompressor sounds much than a turboed 5 IMO:D

Sometimes a turboed 5 is really hot. At least it established the RS-lineup:

^Of course the engine is hot but i'm just an old mentality with huge love for big engines:D

TT been on the market for some years now and its first now there is RS version for sale. New Z4 recently released, its probably another 2 years before we see a M version. Better wait for the Coupe with fixed roof to save weight.

SLK AMG of course, suddenly the price for TT-RS feel justified. Probably going to be more focused on the driving than the SLK is. So between a SLK55 and a TT-RS its the Audi for me.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
