It was the introduction of the D4 S8 that (finally) left me more enthusiastic regarding the D4 in general. Not unlike the new D5, I had my issues with the cars' exterior aesthetic (or lack of). Several of those issues were corrected by way of the MY 2015 facelift.

Envisioning a D5 S8 similar to the rendering posted leave me hopeful.

I’d have this car over any S class and 7er except the M760li....that 6.6L V12 is too alluring.

Looking forward to the new S8.

You can walk in to your local Audi dealership and get a tremendous deal on the remaining S8 Plus'. 620+hp (very underrated power figures), a first class interior w/ amazing build quality, and nice alloys

Still, that won't help the sideprofile, Jimmy, which is in my eyes very ugly and even old looking. I'm dissapointed and really hoped I wouldn't be. One alternative less for the coming 7 years...
