Q7 [Official] Audi Q7

Hi All,

when do we expect the new redesign Q7.

Unfortunately not soon.. the Q7 is getting another facelift for MY24.

I can only assume a next-gen PPC Q7 comes in very late 2025 for MY26 or MY27... but idk. I dislike the current gen Q7 a lot.

2nd gen Q7 was so class leading when it came out. First modern SUV with rear wheel steer, super advanced lane keep assist and radar cruise, incredible interior build quality and materials, and 600 pounds weight savings over first gen. I even remember hearing from Jonny Lieberman on a podcast that they had to come up with a new stamping technique for the shoulder line and the way it subtly widens over above both the front and rear wheels.

This new Q7 I assume will be just like the new Q5/Q6/A5/A6 with identical interiors and no new features just like all the other recent Audi's. Unless you want to count "customizable" headlights that look terrible in all configurations and very easy to spot interior cost cutting as new features.

The customizable headlights look good on the A5 though.

But as you can expect, the Q7 will have the horrendous split headlight set up and ugly body proportions.

My expectations are very low for this, and it does look smaller to me than the current Q7. I feel that they are downsizing the Q7 this upcoming generation to make room for a larger Q9.

Sounds good to be honest, they bring the car in line with MB and BMW. Q7 as a X5/GLE rival, and the Q9 as proper GLS/X7 rival.
Q7 falls in no man's land right now.

It and the XC90 occupy a nice niche between the X5//GLE and X7/GLS. The middle row has sufficient space for three child seats and the third row is usable for children. IMO it’s a sweet spot three row SUV without the bulk, price snd fuel economy of the full sized models.

Lol. Blanket statements like this in general are a big sign that someone doesn't know what they are talking about. Rear wheel steer, best infotainment, most advanced driving assistance functions, most room in the 3rd row, best interior build quality. Just get in a 2017 Q7 and then a X5 and GLE of the same year. There is no contest.
