I'm curious what you guys think of a comparison between the Q7 and the MB GLS450?
having owned the q7 for a couple of months , and having the drive assistance, I can report that it is helpful driving the car on the interstate....You do have to pay attention, as periodically it looses it markings and quits momentarily....I found the time to get to trust it, is the most tiring, as you have to pay even more attention.....It isn`t hard to see that a self driving car will be in the future, but it definitely will take some time...The q7 , which is my wife`s car is very quiet and feels more like the sedan, which I owned in the past for eight or nine years, as it was that good. The biggest contribution to the self driving element in the q7 was missing it when I got back in my truckYeah, the interior of the GLS is not a Q7 for sure. MB will update it. Take a look at the E-Class interior. Now that's what they need to mimic on the GLS.
The Q7 is newer and very tech packed. What would make someone buy the GLS over the Q7 is the space. While both have a third row, the GLS's greater size can accomodate 7 big adults comfortably. In Europe, the GLS is and the Toyota Land Cruiser are the only SUVs with this ability.
Audi's are like that girl you don't like at first, only for you to like them when you get to know them better. The Q7 looks great in those pics. It's one of those cars that grows on a person. I sat inside one at the Qatar Motor Show and was blown away by its brilliant interior which is mega comfortable and super hi tech and built impeccably

I had a proper go at the SQ7 today. It is a very very quick car, very smooth and it handles really well for a car this size, but the whole driving experience leaves me a bit cold.
Thrust is the best word to describe it, despite the triple turbo (two normal turbo+one electric assisted turbo) there is still turbo lag, and because it is a diesel engine it doesn't quite have the immediate response as a petrol engine, but man, once that engine gets going, it really pushes you into the seats. It feels so seamless and unstoppable. How was the thrust? Supreme?
