e-tron GT [Official] Audi e-tron GT

The Audi e-tron GT is a battery electric executive car produced by Audi since late 2020 as part of the e-tron battery electric sub-brand, and the third fully electric car model, after Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback SUVs. It is also Audi's first full-sized electric sedan, and the RS e-tron GT, put on the market in 2021 is, in terms of 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) times, the fastest Audi sedan to date. Based on the J1 platform shared with the Porsche Taycan, the car went on sale in March 2021.
This car with the Plaid+ drivetrain would be the best thing on earth.

Oh yes ! That would be absolutely grand !

Anyhow...solely based on aesthetic qualities, VAG IMHO currently monopolizes the podium when it comes to large 4 door sedoupes with the Taycan, eTron GT and Audi A7/S7. The 971 Panny's nice but has aged in light of the Taycan and eTron GT. A shame that the M-B C257 CLS won't be with us for much longer. And the Tesla S is "pleasant" to behold. As for the "rest": PFFFFFT...

Very handsome configuration:

The color and rims really pull the design together, man.

Now here's an interesting (dodgy) spec:

The color reminds me of something often found in an infants' diaper.

Good looking car inside and out. Price is a headscratcher - why would I pay more for an Audi over an identical Porsche? Entry level Taycan S is $20k cheaper and will probably hold better residual value compared to the Audi. Wont be surprised if we see a price adjustment later on where this car slots in under the Taycan.

Tesla has nothing to worry about, I hope this car does exactly what the Taycan did to the Panamera - bury the sales of the RS7.

I don't like how the taillights turned out. That big mass of darkened lens beneath the raised red lens brightwork looks awful. It's a weird stylistic practice of Audi's - they did the same thing with the Q8's front lights.

I see no reason to buy it over a Taycan. The design is too busy, especially front and rear, outdated interior and dissapointing specs for not less money in comparsion.

Now Tesla Model S Plaid +, both Porsche and Audi will need to overhaul their top models in range and performace, also a completely new gen of the Model S is arround the corner. The things are changing faster than we imagined.
The Taycan will sell for its badge, quality and design, but the Audi will have it more difficult, especially in North America and Asia IMO.

I do appreciate that Audi Sport has provided some very attractive studio vehicles for respected automotive vloggers to behold. A number of videos that I've viewed on YouTube today have managed to leave me liking (and yes-perhaps loving) the eTron GT more...and more...and more. It is gorgeous after all.

It's sunk in a bit-and I must now say that I am genuinely smitten. Even the interior is beginning to seriously impress me.

The E-tron GT quattro with two motors and 476 hp costs €99.800, the comparable Taycan 4s with 490 hp costs €112.782.
I guess the pricing is similar in the US.

Bro I like you and agree with a lot of what you‘re saying but just check stuff before you post about other brands than Tesla.

In real live and real use conditions? I doubt if under current circumstances in NL, a Model S would do more than 350 km.

Here's a video of a driver in the Netherlands clocking in 617KM / 400 miles on one charge with some battery to spare. This video about a year old now (previous gen Model S).

This year the Model S will start breaking ground into Diesel car terriroty from a range perspective and hypercar terriroty from a performance perspective.

The e-Tron RS should be compared with the new base Model S, which has dual motors, accelerates from 0-60 mi in 3,1 sec and has a price of 80 000 USD.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
