Did they forget to re-design the sides , the side profile looks same to me , the rear has a hint of A3 in it, interior is okay nothing to write home about , hate that steering wheel

I think the worst mistake are the taillights...they're trying too hard to be aggressive and vaguely remind me of the Sonata Sport.

One of the things I liked about the old taillights, and Audi in general, was how they appeared nonchalant with the light resting at the bottom. That was beautiful.

The shape and sides appear unchanged which is a big shame because the front and interior look very modern. It is unlikely that the car will attract new customers to Audi. Existing Audi fans could become disillusioned as the there has been little to no revolution since the B7.

The lack of details on the sides make it look like a facelifted A6 C6.

I don't get it. Audi just can't make a new car look like anything. Not ugly by any means, but neither does it move the needle. Once again, the interior is a shite, but that exterior is about as dull as dishwater. It is going to be a long few years until the next A8 arrives with the so called new design language.

I can still see why people will buy this car. I don't think the problem is that it looks bad (a'la the Q7), it is just a little too evolutionary and a lazy effort from Audi.

I just don't see how and why Audi could do this with their most important vehicle. It is absolutely unimaginable that it took them eight years to do this. Say what you will about MB's dramatic facelifts, but at the very least we get something to look at every few years.

Just think--by the end of the B9's lifecycle, we would have been looking at effectively the same design for 16 years at least. Absolutely maddening.

So it looks like they've stuck on a new grill, tail lights and headlights. Absolutely not good enough for a car that's supposed to be relevant for another 7 years. .

Yip agree here, it looks like the body recieved a fairly decent facelift

The interior looks nice, not any better than the C-class class though, just different, and I wait to see some base model variants. The B8 base model interiors were horribly cheap.

Completely disagree, this once agaion shows that Audi are the masters when it comes to pulling together a decent interior, this make the C Class look instantly dated, and completely demolishes the 3er.

I like the interior, except for the mile wide vent. Exterior on the other hand is underwhelming.

Character (shoulder line) is a total disappointment. I expected a more prominent one (eg in an A3-sedan style). At least the lower character line is a bit more 3D now. OK, they also made the grille, headlights and the rear lights a bit sharper looking ... but that's it. Overall it's TOO evolutionary. Even for Audi. C'mon, even Q7 is more different from its predecessor!

Interior ... predictable after Q7 debut. That's obviously THE design theme & layout for contemporary non-sports Audi cars. It looks neat & tech-ish ... But modern? I don't think so. That "air vent" styling element across the dash looks already dated to me ... Even more: it was initially used in VW cars (Passat!). C'mon! And it's not particularly original either: Mazda 2 & CX-3 also feature similar styling element.

It's also a strong contrast between exterior & interior: the interior is cool, modern, tech-ish ... the exterior is not (enough) ... although sharp, it's also utterly unimaginative and too conservative. Eg. Jaguar & Range Rover & Volvo works are much better & consistent: combining modernity of exterior & interior well. The only Audi model that could pull that off is A7.

I don't know ... I expected more from this new A4. I don't know what's going on in the Audi Design Dept. (all sudden personnel changes; all sudden design strategy changes etc) but I guess they are in limbo. I hope they produce something spectacular soon - based on the Prologue Concept. A8 or A7 could be real winners in the looks department (if featuring much of Prologue style & design).

This A4 ... (just like Q7) ... it looks OK, not ugly ... but as said: boring as hell.

I like the tight design and strong lines. The cabin is a feast for the eyes. IMHO nothing to gripe about. Not a threat to the class master the BMW 3er nor the excellent C-class. As with any new generation of the German Trio, the A4 brings with it something of both it's competition yet masters none. IMO the A4 interior at least equals the competition if not better, depends on taste off coarse.

Tech looks good - interior as well.

Design looks incredibly staid in the the pics - I'm hoping the extra width and lowered height mean the design will have some gravitas in real life.

Interior - I like it, modern, clean and crisp, with the sole exception being those huge ventilation slats on the glove box compartment extending all the way to the passenger side

Exterior - Take the current A3 Sedan and add a slight touch of the old A4...Not my cup of tea I'm afraid, kind of wished they would add more character to it
