The All-new Mercedes-AMG SL (R232)

Almost 70 years ago, a sports car launched in Stuttgart immediately became a legend. The vision of expanding the potential of the Mercedes-Benz brand through motor racing successes produced the first SL as a result - a road-going racing sports car. Shortly after its début in 1952, the 300 SL (internal designation W 194) reaped success after success on the race tracks of the world. In its first year, it achieved, among other things, a spectacular one-two victory in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans and even took the first four places in the Nürburgring Grand Jubilee Prize for sports cars. Its successes quickly make the SL a legend.

It looks cool in black, even dirty. The charge port, as I suspected does not look that great. It messes up the symmetry of the rear end.
That aside, this is going to be one very fast cat.

Why are they saying that.
Also, after watching another video it's quite obvious that the control panel is going to be a big problem in the sun. I've got a 63 ordered but may not take it because of this.

^I would not get discouraged or draw conclusions based off the journalists.
Opinions have never been more polarizing. Its best to take the car for a test drive and see for yourself.

I'd also say watching a video doesn't give you a real-world view of how bad the glare is going to be. Plenty of reflections show up in on the GLE and A-class instrument panels in pictures and vids for example but in person its a non-issue. I think the big annoyance with the SL's center screen is having to adjust it on the fly whenever light hits it a certain way and it actually does become a problem.

Just imagine the hyperscreen in a SL. In two days you are blind.

It looks absolutely gorgeous in this video in silver with red and black interior. Probably the best looking vehicle in Mercedes lineup
