Excellent track time. It just killed Q5, X3 and similar "competition". This is on Macan level if not better. Basically level of handling is a very close to Giulia. No doubt that German "objective" media will come to very different conclusion.

A real looker as it may be, looks exactly like a Giulia on steroids....Where is that thing called originality?
I know I will be roasted for my opinion , which I fully understand , but this is one of those rare occasions where I would skip right past a thing of beauty like this one, and buy a Macan

Really impressive figures it is considerably quicker than the equivalent Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Porsche Macan 4 cylinder models. The cornering forces of 1,02g are incredibly good for a SUV I wonder how many G's the Macan achieved.

Talking about track time for a SUV. I highly doubt it is on the top priority for your average Q5 and X3 customer.

I don't like the front at all, the Giulia design didn't transfer well into the Stelvio, the headlights are massive.

It did as good as far more expensive Macan without such super wide tires and PASM. Is that enough? Result is a more valuable when you now difference to X3, all new Q5 and others.

Talking about track time for a SUV. I highly doubt it is on the top priority for your average Q5 and X3 customer.

Almost all premium SUVs are made primarily for on-road. They are not Jeep or Land Rover.
And in Alfa's line-up this also fills wagon spot. So why not to offer something which redefines segment? And Alfa offered precisely that.

Complete list price for Italy has leaked. There are some unannounced engines like 150 HP diesel and more exciting 350 HP gasoline. There is a only one transmission for all, ZF 8HP automatic. 150 HP diesel is a RWD only and 180 HP has RWD option, all others are only Q4. It's 3000-3250 euros more expensive than Giulia with same drivetrain and trim level with only difference in diesel Veloce which is around 5000 euros more expensive than Giulia.

Good engine choices. While the Giulia will be popular amongst guys, the Stelvio needs to speak to women. They are the deciding force behind a lot of SUV purchases. Handling can put a smile on faces but for women its rarely a priority and might not be enough to compensate for sub-par infotainment, poor reliability or MPG.

Don't worry bud, I also approached it with a lot of skepticism in the beginning, saying that it looks like a Giulia on steroids. Now, though, I've been converted an am now a believer, let's just put it that way
