Exactly. No way it's a laser light, it's just to show off you got the expensive laser lights. Just like all the other cars with laser lights, they all have the blue decoration trim in other places and shapes. On the X5 it's a blue X for example, and on this 5er they put the blue strip in the eyebrow.

"Hey BMW. Why the coloured strip in your laser lights?"
"Coz it's bluetiful."

Until now red calipers have been avoided, a BMW looks strange with them, but they give it a youthful look

yea, I'm not crazy about colored calipers on sedan, be it a sports sedan or otherwise. It's more fitting on the likes of McLarens, Ferraris and Lambos.

Actually the blue parts aren’t there for decoration they are the laser lights
That blue strip you see along the top would be purely decorative. They use blue wavelength lasers, so hence the associated blue marketing. The mirrors in LEP modules sit on the back of the forward lens and are quite small because they don't need to cover much surface and also you don't want them blocking the light coming back from the phosphor. In most LEP lamps, you can see the mirror very near the center of the light if you look through the lens. The laser comes in from the side and gets directed backward to the phosphor and then because the phosphor panel is relatively large (at least much larger than and LED), it can be shaped more directly by the forward lens to focus a very straight beam that has tremendous reach. I purchased a handheld LEP last year and it's impressive tech.

Surprised that carwow hasn’t don’t 10 things about the 5 series yet, those videos are most interesting and informative.

Don’t think this bumper is as bad as some make it o...

Definitely not. It's handsome and does the job perfectly. Looks like I am in the vast minority here, but I like both bumpers.

Will they do a Sport Line again?

Hope that was a serious anomaly, all I think about when hearing 'lines' are those crazy packages for the F30. Yuck. Normal and M sport is enough.
