better, much better, especially the rear end, and Yaz, I entirely agree, the Macan taillights look way nicer, but i'm assuming this is a facelift and thus no significant overhaul directed at the rear.

The tail lights looks much better, but the front end looks much worse, especially on the Turbo.

I'm OK with this update - brings it closer in line with the Macan. Base models look much sportier now and the tail-lights have less of an amorphous form about them.

Now the front end looks even more frog like, kinda of reminds me of the 1st generation.

Looks much better. I also read somewhere that Porsche was going to use turbo charged 6 cylinder engines with PDK and move to a stronger diesel option with this FL. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi all,

First: A question: What is the series number of the new Cayenne 951?

I'm updating my Cayenne spreadsheet with the data for the facelift. I'm confused with regards to the Diesel S. The pre-facelift was a twin-turbo, yet nowhere in the press release or on the Porsche website does it say the facelift version is a twin-turbo. It just describes it as a "turbo". For the Petrol Cayenne S, it specifically mentions it has a twin-turbo.

Any ideas? Surely it would be a major change if they made the V8 a "single" turbo?

Porsche Exclusive dresses up Cayenne S in Palladium Metallic

Based on the facelifted model
Porsche Exclusive has finished working on a heavily customized Cayenne S based on thefacelifted model and finished in Palladium Metallic.

Porsche launched the Cayenne facelift in July and now the SUV has received the "Exclusive" treatment applied onto an S version equipped with the SportDesign package. It features blackened bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and rides on 21-inch Cayenne SportEdition alloy wheels with body-colored wheel arches. At the back there are smoked LED taillights with adaptive brake lights along with a quad sports exhaust setup.

More extensive changes have occurred inside the cabin where there’s an extended leather trim package including leather-wrapped seat centers and armrests finished in a contrasting color. Even the air vents, roof lining grab handles, sun visors steering column casing and PCM surround have been covered in leather while the center armrest features the Porsche crest.

There aren't any mechanical changes so the Porsche Cayenne S facelift packs the same newly developed twin-turbo V6 3.6-liter rated at 420 PS (309 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. Developed by Porsche, the engine enables the high performance SUV hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.4 seconds when equipped with the Sport Chrono package on its way to a 161 mph (259 km/h) top speed.

It seems Jeremy Clarkson isn't a big fan of this car as he posted on Facebook: "Things I'd rather have include ebola, six elbows and an unquenchable desire to goose the Pope."
