A8/S8 [Official] 2013 Audi S8

This thread was ruined by meaningless ramblings long before any BMW or Merc fan got involved.

Same old attitude.... God Im so tired of this... Stay in your BMW/MB forums, wont ya? Stop ruining the Audi threads.

It is not anything against Audi, I quite love the S8. It is against one dishonest, dissembling phony trying to twist everything into Audi vs BMW crusade and spoiling this whole forum. If you do not have the ability to recognize who is really ruining your precious 'Audi threads', feel free to ignore me, but no, I am not going anywhere.

I've been away from this forum for around a week. It's comforting to return and find nothing has changed whatsoever.

Why not compare it to Panamera Turbo S then? Oh wait, no it also has the same advantage as AWD and would destroy the Audi? Do you seriously think people don't see through your phony arguments?
VAG cars don't race each other. It's a happy family.

They're in the same class and the Mercedes has more than a chance, it is actually preferred by at least 1 or 2 tests so far. Thats more than giving a run for the money.

I wasn't talking about which car the reviewers preferred only the actual figures produced which by using your argument comparing the E63 against the M5 must be pointless. And in any case there is probably a fair number of people which might likewise prefer the S8 over the M5.

Anyway this is purely a comparison for funny to hear what others think the results of such a race would be.

You missed the point, they felt the E63 was the better car. The S8 won't be compared to the M5 nor should it be. Point being the E63 is in the same class and it was chosen, the S8 will never get that honor in a same comparison with an M5.

^ Maybe where you are from but here the two are separated by much less money than an M5 is with a Panny Turbo S which has been compared against it. Anyway lets just ignore the different classes and purely concentrate on the acceleration which was the point of my original question.

I wonder if asking you guys, once again, to stay on topic, would be a waste of time, or a complete waste of time, but what the heck...

Please stay on topic: 2013 Audi S8

If you want to continue your discussion, why don't you open a new thread in the Internal Combustion there, and measure your whatevers there?

It's been 6 months since the IAA and Audi hasn't released the price yet. What the hell is going on?

UK dealers are thinking the same thing, all three S6/7/8 were due in showrooms already but still we wait.

I love this car

Still, to compare:

If there wasn't the panel gap just below the lights which REALLY spoil its appearance because if that wasnt there I actually think in this comparison it's the better looking car.

I had to factory order Tumbo, but it will be in my hands for the end of October. I picked Daaytona Grey, since the Prism Silver is not on the order guide until October, so waiting didn't seem worth it. I speced the car in black interior, B&O, 360 camera, Solar roof, and black alcantara headliner, standard 21x9 tri spoke 5 arm with 265 tires. In Canada many of the European options are standard, this is also why msrp here is higher. Look forward to posting pictures.

Audi just feels like home for me. Fits perfectly.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
