A4/S4/RS4 [Official] 2013 Audi RS4 B8

The Audi A4 is a line of luxury compact executive cars produced by Audi. Production: 1994-2025. Predecessor: Audi 80. Successor: Audi A5 (B10).
I love fast Audi wagons so why am I so completely underwhelmed? Don't like the detailing at all. Lower front bumper looks old fashioned, wheels are ugly, rear bumper and diffuser lack "bite". Nope, not a patch on the B7 RS4 when that car was launched in its day...

Neither of the RS4's rivals from M or AMG have large covers.

It looks decent, though it doesn't really blow my socks off the way it's predecessor did.
yep

I like this a lot. In fact it's the first RS Audi in ages the looks of which I don't have any reservations about...

Not that keen to be honest, although a dechrome and different colour would probably help in that respect.

Official pictures from Audi.

C'mon, give me another color!!!

And as I said.. it doesnt blow your socks of as the B5 and the B7.
BUT, imagine the sedan... in full black...

I think its a mistake from Audi, not to make a sedan.
I rear that they are going to make an RS5 Sportback, to cover the Sedans place... Not my cup of tea.

After the release of this new RS4, I want the B7 RS4 Sedan even more now. Next year, I'll get one!

Oh, and the interior of this B8 is freaking amazing!

P.S. Gcf, why isnt this on the first page? M6, RS4 is out, and all we see is some old news on the first page?...

Looks better with the same-colour front splitter and rear bumper trim over the metallic finish. Still, it's not McDonald's for me.

The official press release will be promoted to article soon enough.

Regarding the looks, I can't say I like the grille but other than that (and the silver jaw) I have no problem with it. The tail pipes look better on the S4 but that is a minor distraction. The main problem, for me, is the fact that the S4 is such a brilliant car that this one will have a really hard time to justify itself.

Damn, Im so pissed at this color. Stupid color for presentation!!! I wanna see it in a different color.

And I love the non-chrome front much more.

I was unsure about this at first but now it has already grown on me. I like the front bumper. The wide jaw line merges well with the box flares and presents a more masculine agressive get the f**k out the way front pose or stance.

The oval tailpipes for RS cars is a good idea IMO that I prefer over the S cars two twin pipes. The size of the oval pipe is massive (could swallow your fist lol) and is a clear indication that the car means business!

In black or grey please.

This car will not be a scintilating drive, performance wise. Very disappointed. I'd rather have a slightly lower redline and have it turbocharged, ie the new 4l TT V8. The RS is meant to be the icon of top performance - the upcoming M3 will give this a thrashing at Johannesburg altitudes.

Couldn't agree with you more here, in the past the RS and AMG where all about being the quickest kids on the block and if you looked at the orginial RS2, RS4 Mk1 and RS6 Mk1 this was definitely true. Unfortunately this is no longer the case and a return to FI is eagerly waited.

I like it. Been looking around as am heading back to four doors. Always preferred the avant to the sedan for the Audi A4 and A6.

I will get the bucket seats this time as unlike the current car, they don't have to be shifted everytime someone needs to get out from the back.

And daytona grey again? Or maybe finally I get a blue car...the Sepang blue I like. Rims? I don't like these so have to think about that one....

Unfortunately the RS4 B8 is not a huge improvment over the RS4 R7 neither in exterior RS design nor really in performance, though the engine is still better. I do not understand why some of you are sad there is no sedan. I on the contrary think RS Avants are the best cars Audi can do, they feel so special, something what no M or AMG will ever be. I just love all the RS4 Avant B6, RS4 Avant B7, RS6 Avant C5 and RS6 Avant C6.

An RS5 Convertible is coming, right?

.

Initially I preferred the S version quad pipes. 4 is better than 2 right? Then I discovered many A5's putting quad pipes on. But never saw anyone putting on these huge oval pipes. Now I love them.

For me, love it the way it is. Stands out more when parked in a line of Audi's. Have seen many A5's changing or just painting the splitter silver for this effect.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
