I already know how the Q1 will look like, LOL. :D

Still ... Not bad. The side profile is looking funny though. Otherwise typical Audi: stylish, inoffensive, bit bland, looking good, excellent details & of course top-notch interior (first impression).

That notorious Audi precision & attention to details is something that really makes Audi cars very expensive looking. Especially with LED lights & right (dark) color & big wheels. Bit bland but expensive.

:t-cheers:

Looks good not bad...Its time mercedes made something like this here in SA we dont even get a GLK...

Yeah, ok... Q3 hey? ZZZZZZZ...

It's nice enough. It's completely inoffensive and a sure hit with the fashion conscious but it really doesn't engage me in any way. I'll no doubt see it on the road and think it looks nice - for the first few weeks, as I did with the A1 - and thereafter it'll just be another mass-market Audi: safe, normal and, ultimately, dull.

Clearly it's a small little thing, especially on the inside, and I'm curious to see how its interior measurements stack up against the odd-looking X1. Is this car based on the Tiguan platform or new forthcoming A3 underpinnings? It it's the former then, extra Meh - buy the VW, get a better looking small SUV and save your money.

I like the more graphic frontal styling, the sharper, hexagonal shield grill is coming into its own from a distinctiveness perspective - very strong brand image there imo. The S-Line model, like all Qx S-line models looks too nose heavy - like it's driving around dragging its chin on the tar. I'm also not a fan of the forwardly raked C-Pillar. It's actually got a steeper rake than the windscreen and this is a design feature that I'm not particularly fond of. It's something that put me off on the Renault Koleos - I just prefer a more upright rear hatch for both aesthetic and practical reasons (a more upright rear glass obviously gives more usable load volume).

Of course, it'll sell well and be the envy of many that want to, but can't, afford one.

Very predictable, really. But nonetheless pleasant.

IMHO, far more attractive than the abominable BMW X1 (the only current BMW that I do not at all find attractive). Even the bizarre X6 has its' certain special charm.

Well,it looks OK..and that just about all I have to say about this Audi, unfortunately .

It's rather aerodynamic for an SUV-shape: 0.32 Cd for the base model. I can only imagine how pricey this thing is going to be...

At least it has an excellent engine range; speaking of which, don't you all find it curious that Audi offers a detuned, 125 kW 2.0 TFSI as the base petrol engine instead of the equally appropriate 118kW 1.8 TFSI engine as employed in the A3? It could mean that the 118 kW 1.8 TFSI engine will dropped from the new gen A3 line-up?

Is the VWAG group finally on a mission to rationalise the engine range across the brands and models? The death knell for the 1.4 TSI (110 kW-132kW) engine starts here? Mmmm, curious. All I know is that if I was in charge of VWAG's group engine strategy from 2 years back, I would've saved them a whack of money - just by rationalising the engine offerings.

Does anyone know what the torque figure of the 125 kW TFSI engine is - I'm estimating 250-280 Nm.

This will be a good head-to-head with the X1. Oi! Where's that photo comparo poll?

As much as it looks like a baby Q5/Q7, I really like it!
Its sleeker, and sexier. The proportions are better then the Q5.
Nice little jeep there. I give Audi thumbs up!

Just something better than this please!:)

a REAL poll!? I still have to learn to do it properly so to the next member who can do it, thanks!

We never see these cars testing on the road and then voila, there they are being revealed. If anything, it's just a few sightings. BMW and Mercedes are seen for 2 or 3 years in development. Do Audi take short-cuts?
Maybe they are too bland for anyone to notice them or that they look too much alike the other models. Jokes aside, I looked at two pictures and I had enough. Again a boring but stylish car from Audi that will sell. Artist and Hu§ein told it the best though..

Audi couldn't have played it any safer. It looks OK, not great or bad, just OK. S-Line is a must, even if it gives the Q3 the profile of a raised A3, without it it's too much on the dull side. I wonder about the rear seat space, is it smaller or the same as in eg. A4 sedan?

I am bored. And so is the press it seems...
At least the BMW X1 has a different design identity from the X3 and X5 as does the GLK and ML , GL.

Might look better in the flesh will have a look next week in Shanghai.
But they are fast approaching the road for "radical change" just as BMW and Mercedes-Benz had to choose that route.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
