I bought this car twenty days ago, and in my opinion, this car can´t be better. The new X3 is very comfortable, the finishes are first and spend very little. the trunk is huge and the control of the road is complete, with good suspension. It is my first BMW and hopefully not the last. I like more than the Q5, has more motor, spend less and has similar finishes. Bmw reviews are cheaper than the audi. For all these reasons I have elected the x3. I hope not to have been wrong.

Congrats man, it´s nice to see a spanish mate with an X3.

No it's not. Otherwise as soon as the X3 was launched everybody would stop buying the Q5. They're both reasonably good cars, although I personally prefer the Q5. The X3 is still the weakest link in BMW's line up. When will you learn that spouting partisan rhetoric like this only serves to make people laugh at everything you say Klier?

It just goes to show, AWD is expensive and there's no getting around it; you can't retain a premium quality interior and keep the price down. If you want to keep the price down then something's gotta give somewhere - like a lack of toys and quality of the interior plastics (such as in a Subaru - purely by way of example).

People wanted X3 to be premium and they got it. Now at a price, of course.

On another note, to see how far back the 2.0d 4-pot engine in the X3 was mounted in real life was a revelation. The entire engine sits behind the front wheel hubs. Must have the sweetest handling balance in its class - by a long shot.

So, Bimmer aficios and insiders, we've seen X3 xDrive20d with 135 kW and X3 xDrive30d with 190 kW (pure lust). Surely there's room in the line up for a 150/160 kW diesel derivative? X3 xDrive23d? That'll be rather nice I'd say.

True Apart from the X3's pricing! I had my test drive in a base X3 xDrive 20d and the interior quality / finish and perceived quality is top notch!
X3 xDrive 23d - No. My dealer has confirmed that because the X3 will be available with a 3.0 Diesel the 23d will be exclusive to the X1 - as the X1's top-of-the-range diesel AND mind you, the X3 20d comes in @ R800.00 less that the X1 23d both @ base price! So, nothing wrong with X3 pricing in RSA compared to the X1

How we differ. For me my X1 xDrive23d is better value than the equivalent Q5 and the hindsight is that I think the X1 is actually a pricey ripp-off!
Seeing both the Q5 and new X3 parked with only an open parking space between them(on holiday in Umhlanga Natal's north coast), the Q5 looks as if it belongs in the X1/Tiguan/Honda CRV league and not in the X3's slot in the market.... same goes for the XC60

Saw the X3 in a parking lot the other day and I have to say it's a hell of alot better looking IRL. Well done BMW.

Yeah, Ive seen the car quite a few times now too, and it really is a very handsome car. Quite big compared to X1, but not so much when parked right next to the X5. Perfect size with great design elements.
I still haven't sat in one though, so no comments on interior yet.

Neither have I, but had a look inside and it's one of the best interiors out there.

Went to see the new X3 today but I cant say I was impressed by its design. I prefer the design of X1. However, the interior materials was of high quality. Black plastics softer with a better touch than compare to my car and new Z4.

They also had a frozen grey metallic M3 E92 with competition package and with a huge price. Price aside, damn the car looks good in that color and wheels. Very beautiful, particulary the side profile.

The guy who owns it says it drives better than his previous E70 X5 4.8i

It's got the executive pack and the premium pack, but the owner opted for the X-line delete.

OMG yes. I was here on business and got snowed in for 2 days. I have never seen this much snow here and I grew up here. I would have killed for a SUV on those days.

X1, X3 and X5 are all special in their own way. BW really has the perfect SUV line up right now. Damn.
