:t-cheers:

It's not until you put the new X3 beside the old one to compare do you realise how much more elegant and sophisticate the new one is.

Beautiful. :0vr:

I don't think the comparisons do the new one any favours. It just reminds you the car does retain some evolutionary awkwardness of the old one.

But it is MUCH MUCH better and I would likely choose this over the GLK. It would be a bit tougher to chose against the Q5.

I think they're both pretty damn ugly, lol. And yeah, I don't think them together does the new one too many favors.... Nor the old one really.

ALWAYS my favourite, comparo pics :usa7uh: thanks Dave1984:t-cheers:

Love the new X3 and honestly the X1 has the better frontal view/look IMO;)

EDIT: I have an X1 and interior quality needs attention, that said IMO the X1 looks wise has grown on me so much that I think it looks overall better that the new X3....may change my opinion when I see the new X3 IRL:t-hands:

Really no pic in "Black Sapphire"???
Anyone going to render us the car in black at least? CGI's on the BMW website are just terrible...

Quite nice! It almost changes the looks of the X3. Good job with this!

Interestingly, this (and I think the bumper on the Z4 Roadster as well) front bumper seems like a total AMG rip-off look.

^ Yeah, and AMG as a whole is a BMW M rip off.

Love the M pack! Looks very, very nice. I like the X3 more than X5 I think.

I use to thinkg the Q5 S-Line is the best looking SUV in this segment, but after this pic I might have changed my view.

PD: Poor GLK, I´ve seen a few this week and it looks ancient, even compared to the Q5, a car that debuted the same day.

Even with LED DRL and 20 rims?...IMO it looks hot!

The rims were huge, and it had LEDs. Even the colour was nice, some kind of blue/dark grey, it was very nice. But the car is so boxy and so meh that I was surprised, specially when I use to see a lot of Q5s with the S-Line pack.

Yeah but u literally can say the same about the S-line Q5,the car is rounded and like most Audis u get bored of the design really quickly.

A thrilling duel: From November 2010 courting the new BMW X3 (right) with the Audi Q5 at market share for SUVs. A first comparison shows that it gets done Audi in the future with a much more dangerous rival. The BMW's a crucial piece (plus three inches long), now offers tidy room for passengers and luggage. The sitting test shows added that particularly valuable in the ground inches - above the knees and elbows nothing pinches, felt there compared to the Q5 first draw. Even with the quality of the BMW will henceforth be no more nakedness. Smoother surfaces and a good dose 5-Appeal evaluate the cockpit clear. From upper-class and BMW's compact SUV inherits the elegant center console with iDrive knob, joystick lever (for the eight-speed automatic) and buttons for the assists. In addition, the X3 can finally enjoy the full-Efficient Dynamics package to save fuel, then the intelligent alternator control and the start-stop system - similar to the Audi Q5 TDI - now under the hood of the Munich-based SUVs to find. This should push the consumption of a X3 20d automatic from 6.5 to 5.6 liters sparse. So he offers an Audi Q5 2.0 TDI S tronic by a remarkable 1.4 liters. Whether he runs faster, more dynamic and more quietly, of course, can only show a first comparison test - but after BMW also promises the ride qualities of the compact SUV competitors, the Ingolstadt be difficult to enforce. One thing is already clear that the new 20d more horsepower (184 instead of 177), more torque (380 Newton meters instead of 350) will be available and a grade more than the Audi available. In the sprint from zero to 100 km / h the Audi BMW takes at least according to paper from a second in which he surpassed the maximum Q5 clear with 210 kilometers per hour compared to 200 mph. The topic dealt with BMW handling as expected without compromise: a surcharge of X3 thanks to variable steering ratio is very jagged wave, an electronically controlled rear differential and rear-wheel drive points laid out to increase the agility on. For all the dynamism of the new X will also be a model worker. Behind the electrically opening tailgate (surcharge) summarizes the trunk at least 550 liters of luggage - so ten liters more than the Q5. Sorry BMW but failed to in the Audi used sliding rear bench also the assistant systems (such as lane keeping function) of the Q5, BMW possibly oppose a head-up display. That leaves the price as a decisive argument? Not really. In the base separate the two just 300 Euro - 39 100 (BMW) to 39 400 Euro (Audi). It is narrow. The Bottom Line: The more modern, more efficient and larger Q5 had the aged X3 so far little to counter, but BMW has upgraded the new SUV, will be more economical, plus it is larger and more comfortable He would also like to qualitatively without price to lift respect. Attention Audi!
