Haha. They really had to choose the ugliest color combo they could with the old CLS and choose the new iteration of paint form with the new one didn't they.

Side profile wise, I'm still on hold, but the front of the new one, and sheetmetal work up there is waay nicer than the old ones, as is the rear. Not as organic and smooth, but crisper and nicer all in all IMO.

.

Um no..Thats the vision CLS..there is only 1 of those :t-hands:

Stunning design work! I was blown away when I saw the first shots of the new CLS.. Huck was pretty much right on the money with those ps pics some time ago..

(remember I was praying for MB to put LEDs in the headlights about 2-years ago? my dream came true!)

Btw I read MB hired a BMW designer
to design this car.

Just_me? hello man:cool:, I didn`t take the time to look through the whole thread but you gotta love this version better than the last CLS....:usa7uh::usa7uh::usa7uh:

LOLL, major fail in that at .38 they show a burgundy SLS being driven.... Are they trying to fool people, or did I miss the reason they did it purposely (I only scanned the beginning of the Video)?

They almost got me. I was almost gonna be like "Holy sh**, this things front looks more wicked than I thought, it looks just like the SLS".... Only to reverse the vid, and find out.

Actually, when you see the SLS in the vid, it doesn't do the CLS as many favors, as you notice how much more sculpted and special the SLS's front actually looks.

Where the HECK have you been??? Nice to see you post and keep coming back.

Beautiful car that CLS in a very flattering view. The Audi actually looks pretty good from that perspective as well, albeit a little boring when parked so close to the CLS.

These photos really show the big difference in design work.
Look how the arching bow affect is flatter on the newer models profile.
The hood line is also flatter. These affects give the newer model a more sedan look compared to the outgoing model.

It's going to be very interesting to see how these cars will be received by the targeted customer base. I reckon that the CLS will command more "ohhs and ahhs" within the group of somewhat younger potential buyers, perhaps those 40 and younger. But the majority of potential customers for these cars will be the 50+ crowd. This has me speculating that the A7 will be a very successful car indeed. Its' design is very "clean"-relatively simple to comprehend yet with just enough refinement to capture and maintain interest. Very elegant, albeit not as "exciting" as the CLS in terms of exterior design. Being an (ahem) older dude, my nod would undoubtably go to the A7. I love its' subtle yet commanding presence and its' formidable stance. The CLS is a bit too "in yer face" for me.:D

More like 60. Not because the car is for old people per se, but it's highly expensive for normal people, and very few below 40 will be able to buy/get one

^they will still ohh and ahh..
Look at this forum..All german cars are shit expensive..
And most of us are young.. and we do ohh and ahh all day long;)
