Right, seeing that we're on this path irrevocably, let's thrash this sh!it out once and for all.
I totally missed my point here Martin, I chose to believe you not that I need proof. I posted pictures of my cars on my drive outside my house or my business, the fact that Giannis made his comment after I had provide this speaks volumes. A little common decency and trust is all one expects here.
Bob, I don't care whether you do or don't own the cars that you've claimed to own. Honestly.
You people want to talk about neutrality? How neutral is this: I have to see both sides of the story. On the one side, I have to be of the mindset that no one here is in any way required to provide irrefutable proof of who they are / what they own. On the extreme opposite end I have to accept that, given some rather lofty claims, other members will question such claims within the context of discussion. Have I ever, ever asked you to properly prove your claims? No, coz it's none of my darned business. The community will decide based on the credibility and quality of your contributions here whether to believe or not believe. How fu#&ing in the middle is that?
You could be everything you claim you are - you could be just some wealthy dealer's teenage kid who spends a lot of time on the internet. It's not for me to decide. It's up to the online community to determine this. Is it up to me to grant you impunity from being interrogated, harranged for what you claim to own, know, do in your posts? Of course not. You put your online persona out into the public domain and it's ultimately at your door how YOU manage the outcome. I'm bloody well not going to do it for you.
If an internet forum is run properly then why shouldn't justice be seen to be carried out? Sure, you could take the attitude that "it's just an internet forum", but then this place would not be any better than any of the other car forums on the internet which descend into chaos and which any intelligent person wouldn't go near.
Would it be too much for you to admit that the reason you like this forum so much is because of the way it IS being run. Have some respect and reasonability. How long have I been on the staff here? How many complaints do you honestly think I get? [I'll tell you: one in present times] We are the perpetuators of the culture on this forum. We are its custodians and spirit. New members: welcome. Constructive criticism: bring it on. Can we please everyone? No. Can we completely manage everyone's different personalities? No. Members need to bring
tolerance and
maturity to this place but do they always? No. And guess what Betty - you'll say that klier is immature and he'll say that you are intolerant.
For the love of all that's good - what do you expect us to do?
Not sure I follow you're thinking. Being a rapist or a murderer is clearly wrong, so what's that got to do with bias?
I have an internal bias that says that rapists and murderers are evil. Simple as that. Call it what you will but it's definitely bias, prejudice, whatever you call it.
If you admit you can't apply the rules of the forum in a fair manner then why on Earth are you a mod?
You tell me - you're a smart guy.
Nice. I actually have a good opinion of you Martin. I value what you have to say about cars more than anybody else on here. I don't think that viewpoint is surprising at all. You clearly know your stuff; far more than I could ever hope to know. It's what I want from an internet forum. It's why I get annoyed when threads are disrupted by immature members like Klier, and even more annoyed when respected members like yourself then support them.
I'd love to see you on here without the shackles of being a moderator. Love it.
I don't think you're an idiot either. Far from it. But I feel that you have a dark and unrelenting desire to undermine the efforts of this team just because of your view on a few bad apples. This is the world - there will always be bad apples.
