M2 2025 BMW M2 CS

The BMW M2 is a high-performance version of the BMW 2 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. As the 2 Series replaced the 1 Series coupé and convertible models, the first-generation M2 was marketed as the most basic M model in the range. Official website: BMW M
Niff Teedell and Hicki Vutler-Benderson.

On a less idiotic note, M2 is selling like hotcakes down here in SA. New cars are all spoken for - no M2 or M2 CS availability - get in line.

Bang-for-buck (especially the CS) is unbeatable - starting retail for M2 circa ZAR 1600000 [$96750] and M2 CS circa ZAR 2200000 [$133030].
For frame of reference, a new 911 Carrera T at ZAR 3200000 [$193500] is a million bucks [$60469] more expensive with 100 kW less.

When it comes to the M2, there simply is no Competition. See what I did there?

SA and BMW have a special relationship. You peeps love BMW
I personally think it's crazy expensive. You prove that by comparing a 2 series with a 911.

Off topic, but I absolutely adore the Carrera T. The perfect 911 outside the GT models. A poor man's GT3 and with the aero package and lightweight options an actual competitor to the GT3 with a little 1500 Euro chip planted in the software.

What? The BMW M2 being crazy expensive?

Yeah I really should stop using my market as the norm (standard manual M2 close to 140k Euro here). But you're still comparing a 2 series with a 911

Surprisingly, the M2 CS is not even available anymore here in The Netherlands. I wanted to spec one in the configurator but it's not there anymore.

Erm, bud. I'm attempting to convey that an M2 CS with 390 kW (vs 290 kW) is just about 2/3 the price of a Carrera T. Take the 911 snob factor away and the M2 CS is fantastic value for money.
Moreover, the only thing you can kinda compare it to is a 911 - what else is there?

But you have probably the biggest selection of EVs outside of China.

Not sure how it is elsewhere, but in US you could never configure any of the CS models. For good reason too, there is nothing to configure besides color and type of brakes.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
