X3/X4 Next X3: Spyshots & CGIs

The BMW X3 is an SUV manufactured by BMW since 2003, based on the BMW 3 Series platform. The BMW X4 is a compact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW since 2014. The X4 is widely considered as a "coupé" version of the X3.
An a different note, everyone knows that we basic our opinions/comments on personal experience

You'd be amazed how many opinions on the BMW forum are NOT based on personal experience. Here's a tip from experience. Unless you come on here to basically say that every BMW is the best car in the world and absolutely faultless then be prepared to be called a troll and much, much worse things. I've been posting a lot less recently because I got sick and tired of having my genuine and balanced opinions jumped on by a few "fanboy" members.

But why do these few 'fanboy' members seem to rule the roost and get away with some of the comment they make without any action. I enjoy discussing cars like the next guy but can't be arsed having to defend a point of view every time I post an opinion that goes against these 'immature' few.

...and those who find nothing wrong with BMW tend to have a little less credibility.

Credibility goes out the window if you find failings in one brand and not another and I can think of a few that meet those requirements. ;)

Footie, most of the time you are here speculating rather than factualising and you only make things worse for yourself when you claim the things you claim. Just an observation. I will admit that there are some guys here that behave like fanboys including myself, but where's the harm in that.:t-cheers:

But he had the sportpackage with stiffer suspension, perhaps he should have ordered without it. It sure you make a difference in ride quality.

That's true hey. But the sports package is almost a MUST in the looks department. It's like BMW forces it on you. lol. The standard spec doesn't look sufficiently special and misses out on some desirable features. It's no wonder most X5's are rolling around out there with enormous alloy wheels. And every time I see them I think 'Ooo nice' and then I remember and cringe about how it was to ride.

Anyhow... I'm getting off topic here.

I've only driven the X5 with the adaptive control (some members might remember I considered getting an X5 but decided against it simply for the lack of a poignant need for the versatility re. no children). The ride, with adaptive control was exceptional, especially compared to the E53. The car also featured the 20 inch sports package alloy option. I believe Wheels Car Magazine even favourably wrote about the X5's ride quality with adaptive control. Considering most people lease the X5 - it should be a no brainer option as it would add a minuscule amount to the total lease value.

Will the X3 come with adaptive control?

Also, on the topic of trolling, why is it that when two members have polar views, one of them must be a troll. I must immediately explain my earlier question to footie to maintain any reliability, I was simply trying to gauge whether it was a useful debate, or simply a waste of my time. Waste of my time seems to be propping up regularly around here of late. Remember, without polar views, this site becomes a forum dedicated to car news, not car views and opinions.

I suppose I feel like I'm to blame for this move off topic to include other X models but the reason was in my mind a just one because I know that many feel the same as myself, in that on normal sport suspension and with the most desirable rims it's ride is not what one comes to expect from a two ton monsters. In fact I put it down to the unsettled ride that made the X6 feel even larger than it's considerable size when pushed, something I seldom liked to do.

You hit the nail on the head, these SUVs need the largest of rims to look the part and whilst there is a reduction on ride quality regardless of brand when you increase the rim size but it's the BMW X models that seem to suffer the most. Why should this be when they get their normal model cars so right.

Sorry about this OT again. Ignore my rants.

Why would I lie about this car or any other?

Why? You tell us?

...and those who find nothing wrong with BMW tend to have a little less credibility.

...and the people who fake critisism to try to come over as genuine tend to have a little less of that as well.

Funny, it's almost as if this is the real world with lots of different people/characters.

Sorry about this OT again. Ignore my rants.

Don't worry about that :t-cheers:

Thanks for the photos Palbay...but any reason why you missed a shot of the interior ?

That's the best shot of the front-end of the new X3 to date! That thing looks pisssssssed-off! Perfect!
Sorry about the interior shots. The car was parked at a day care for very young kids. Some people/parents get very nervous/suspicious when a stranger hops out of a car at a daycare and starts shooting pic's.Just did not want to risk creating a scene.Had the car been parked in a grocery store/mall parking lot....you would be looking at the first interior pic's of the 2nd Gen X3.:D Maybe next time.:usa7uh: Thanks. PalBay PS..Thanks for the nice comments!!!

Now that would be quite a precarious position... Thanks for the pictures.

This to me looks like a highly optioned X3. There must be - guess work here - some opinion/package that adds that extra visual bang, like the body colour(?) or chrome(?) parts at the front and rear fenders. Possibly like the X5 aerodynamic package?

Just your standard N55 X3, in blue water metallic :t-cheers:
