Q7 Next generation Audi Q7 - CGIs, info, spy pics

Really? IMO it looks like the current one, which is probably the most ill-proportioned SUV out there. Like a wagon on big wheels.

Unfortunately this new one looks even more wagon-ish. Kind of an A3 Sportback on steroids.

While the current one has almost a minibus look due to its long greenhouse.

I have seen the prototype alongside the current or predecessor. This model is more of an angular refresh of the current more rounded Q7 in every aspect. It conforms to industry rumours surrounding serious "issues" within Audi Design in regards to the Q7 and A4 which according to rumours is again not adventurous due to the same disharmony within the design department.

Interesting though this convoy featured the new Bentley SUV and the Range Rover which is concerning because the Bentley is nowhere near Range Rover size, more like a Cayenne.

The fortune (or misfortune) of the Q7 series II will be decided in N.A, China, the U.A.E. and perhaps Russia (should the current political state-of-affairs stabilize). Here in the EU, it is a "fringe" vehicle at best. Were I in the market for this type of automobile and my wallet did the talking, the Range Rover would be hard to beat. Or perhaps a decked-out Porsche Macan (which I absolutely adore !). Mercedes' new GLE does indeed look nice in the first official photographs.

The A4 is vastly more important. And yes-there is certainly a degree of corporate "anxiety" with regard to how that car (B9) will be received by the public. Marc Lichte could only very slightly tweak the Wolfgang Egger design. Will it be a yawn-fest ? Or something rather sharp ?

OT, but it will be a fresh rendition of a yawn-fest.

Next Generation Audi Q7 Leaked

Next generation Audi Q7 official pictures leaked ahead of the debut at Detroit motor show in January. The new Q7 comes with a sporty design theme and doesn't look huge like the current model. The front grill similar to the current Audi product but the head light design is completely new. Audi has given arrow shot design for the LED DRLs inside the head lamp of the Q7. The lower part of the bumper is wider and the fog lamp integration is also unique.

The side of the Q7 design takes inspirations from the current model but the D-pillar integration is different which make it look more aerodynamic. The shoulder line starts from the head lamps and extends to the tail lamps. The rear design of the Q7 is not much different to the current SUVs in Q range. The arrow shot LED design continues to the tail lamps and the lower part of the bumper is integrated with twin exhaust.

Audi has completely changed the interior of the Q7 and we can see the new design theme. The 2016 Q7 comes with new three spoke steering wheel with a complete digital display for the instrument cluster. The MMI screen pop up from the top of dashboard and the gear liver design is unique. Audi has also added a touch pad to control the MMI screen in the center console. Audi is yet to disclose the details of the engine range for Q7. We can expect online debut of the new Q7 soon.

Woah woah, wait a minute here. Is this the S-Line model? It clearly has that little metal piece with the S-Line trim on its side. So there is an even less aggressive looking model.

Big fail here.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
