A8/S8 Next Generation Audi A8 (D4) Spy pics & info.

That's the angle they hope for. A repeat of BMW's success when a new form of Progressive design was introduced. Although you have to admit BMW went adventurous and took the risk , this is still playing safe.

Except... this ended up looking... wow... just... wow!

I'll give my full statement when I see the cars first official pics... But Im not to excited.... :(

Ok the live reveal is over. Where are the bloody official pics?

OK, exactly the car shown in AB a year ago. D3 facelifted into A4 Grande.

But the interior looks extremely well crafted. Yet the dash look VERY BMWish some how. :)
And why the hell did they push the MMI controls so far forward????

Yet the car seems to be an engineering masterpiece - at least light-weight construction wise.

Fully LED headlights ... I guess optional - for about 5k Euros.:D

Otherwise it's a progress. But VERY safe one.

Btw, when are the official press pics due?

It's not bad looking, but from a little distance near identical to the A4. I really have a hard time actually seeing this is a new car.

Now, interior pics and high res pics and press pics please.

Interior is nice... headlamps are way too huge... front-overhang is terribly long. Hope it'll look better in real life.

That was one very poor launch, they might as well have just done a press release because the poor quality pictures we are getting do no favors for a car that already appears to be a very very safe evolution of the D3.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
