Those are some hideous interior colors. Mercedes definitely under some bad design influence. I've lost count of the people I've known in corporate who have taken early retirement. The company is now driven by social agendas more than its heritage and product.

I disagree. The interior colours are generous and premium. Many manufacturers cost cost by not fully extending coloured leather to:

• Steering wheel
• Central armrest
• Entire door card
• Transmission tunnel

I love those completely colored interiors in green, brown, blue or red. Perfection is when the dashboard and doorcards are in color as well. Just like in the 70ies, when it was normal to have those interiors.

You're assuming this cost isn't passed along. Where other manufactures include leather (at least partial) Mercedes offers MB tex. Do you think leather is going to be standard on the E? It won't. MB tex will be standard, and there is no additional cost I know of to make MB tex black, brown, beige or blue.
