Not the best choice to bolster your attempt at a cleverly made point. Exterior-wise and in terms of the way it drives, the new X3 is the class leader. By way of its ICE-only underpinnings, the E-Class has unsurprisingly ended up the better proportioned car.

The interior is very nice apart from the felt lining the transmission tunnel, made worse by being two pieces overlapped.
Exterior looks great in the metal - far nicer than the awful 5er, for obvious reasons.

And one more thing, you said you like the shape of the upcoming ing CLA better than an i5 or i7 in another thread, so your opinion on shapes and design is worth close to nothing since you appear blind.

Actually Mercedes BMW and Audi perform the same irrelevant designs or even ugly and outdated.
Maybe Mercedes is the only one that has a kind of Design language, but it’s awful beginning with a GLA ‘til EQS and GLS. The W214 or even W223 are a random must-replacement for once stunning predescessors, yet still just safe and correct.
Now that's just mean. It's just an opinion.
There is no need of course.I guess there really is no need for them to upgrade the E450 to a 435hp E500. The E450 is sorta hot roddish already.

Not impossible at all, but demand has never been there for a non AMG V8 E-Class.There is no need of course.
But there is a want for an E580 V8 with 525hp. Something that is fast and powerful, but not as taught as an AMG. But alas, it is impossible under current regulation.
