New Daily Driver

Lucid was giving some pretty insane lease deals on their cars as an end of the year push, picked up this 2025 Air Pure RWD last week as a replacement for our Audi A3.

It drives so insanely well, does the most magnificent power slides, and has more interior room than an S Class while being smaller than an E Class. I don't think there is another car on sale better suited for daily driving activities for people who love driving like a hooligan all the time, certainly not a better EV.

I don't think you have driven a Lucid, or even an E30 for that matter to be honest. They are both cut from the same cloth and are both great drivers cars. I wouldn't own both if this wasn't the case.

Appreciate it! Had an issue with the backup camera when first picking it up, but luckily no issues since. They updated the computer hardware to be more powerful for 2025 to be better able to run the software so I think that has helped.

Congrats @Tuffode. Good choice on the RWD Pure - RWD EVs are under appreciated when it comes to fun factor. Also good choice on the painted roof - I think it makes the car aesthetically.

Getting solar panels installed at the house this year, so it will actually truly be zero CO2. Will be totally free to power the car.

That is absolutely not correct. And this is one of the biggest lies that are spread. Everytime you charge in the hours in which the basic production capacity (nuclear power plants or thermal (coal)power plants) is bigger than the total consumption of electricity is ZERO CO2. You can not scale down the generators following the hourly consumption and the best way to utilize the otherwise wasted energy is to store it in batteries. So charging during the night is ZERO CO2 even if the electricity is generated by burning coal.

I am 100% pro EV, but you can't argue that storing electricity in batteries produced by burning fossil fuels which releases CO2 is ZERO CO2. Its a ludicrous statement.

Man, you Norwegians are making this German feel like he is living in a country trapped in some sort of surreal late 1970s/early 1980s time warp (in terms of innovative environmental technology and cutting edge infrastructure).
