Jesus!!! did anyone stop to see that torque figure??!! thats a full match for the S65!!! 737lb-ft. If that is indeed true than the competition is toast. Expect the doors to be blown off the M5 and E63. No doubt about it.

The wagon version looks good but if the front turns out like that, it`s going to be bland, bland, bland!!

1000Nm, just like S65...

According to Rs6.com.

During development testings been done with more than 1000nm which mean the gearbox can handle that much torque. However , the production car is more likely getting detuned to about 800nm.

So its going to be playground for tuners , so be sure you will see a lot of tuned RS6's.

i belive M needs to rethink their low torque strategy..
cuase 800nm..thats hard to beat in speed and power.. ohh and fun aswell..

Why detuning it down to 800Nm? Keep it up to 1000Nm and even more if possible! It's all about numbers, you know!

I was thinking about whether or not the RS6's hp will be 550 or 580, doesn't matter really. You see MB and BMW have already seen this and have already started their obligatory "one-up" plan...lol! 400hp was the benchmark, now 500hp is, next is 600hp.

I think Audi, Merecedes and BMW need to sit down and come up with some kinda gentlemens agreement in regards to these outragous hp figures!
