God, this is crazy! 580hp!! the power war continues and Audi is going nuts with it! you already know the RS5 has the CLK63 and M3 dead in it`s aim and now this.

If the Rs6 gets 580hp it will be a power-demon straight from hell. it`s going to hammer to 100km/h in the hi 3.second range.

And Luwalira, the M157 Bi-Turbo is rumered to be released in 2009-10 sometime (or around) with the intro of the next generation E-Class.

I believe I was reading from this same web-site that the M157 Bi-Turbo will get 650hp. Just a rumer though

580 hp mean nothing to me unless i also see a S-Tronic (DSG) transmision , Audi Magnetic Ride and Quattro Torque Vectoring in the RS6.

Magnetic Ride? Yeah maybe. And I hope they fit the new RS6 with it.

DSG? Well...they figured out a way to put it in the Veyron. Can't see why it would be impossible to fit the RS6 with it.

I also hope they do everything to reduce the "nose-heavy" feeling. The biggest complaint on the S6. Ah yes...and if possible, reduce the weight a tad.

that would be fun though..and it would somewhat justify the insanely high price this car will have..
given that the RS4 allready is like over 70K euro..

I agree that it should have the best and latest tech from Audi. If all of this shows up, what a car the RS6 will be. In the U.S. it is likely to cost 95-100K.

The price of the RS6 shouldn`t be that much more than it`s compeditors. A lot of people thought the RS4 was going to be in the $80,000 range and it happens to be in the 60k (USD) range. a little more than the outgoing C55 and discontinued M3 which were in the 55k range but the Audi is a newer car.


Lets hope this dream is true for the RS6, Anything north of 550hp is incredible for a mid-sized 4-door.

A lot of people thought the RS4 was going to be in the $80,000 range and it happens to be in the 60k (USD) range. a little more than the outgoing C55 and discontinued M3 which were in the 55k range but the Audi is a newer car.

in Sweden RS6 going to cost a lot more than competition. I dont live in US so what happens there isnt same everywhere.

why does o ne manufacturer cost alot more than a other? Dont they pay the same taxes or something?

The discontinued M3 was $48K, not 55K and RS4 is $65K.

Those were only estimates. it all depends on were you buy the car as well.
My point was the RS6 should`t be 10k more than it`s compeditors from Mercedes-Benz and BMW. If it is than the RS6 is competing against a more upscale line of cars. Audi should take this into consideration. I`m sure thay have.

Well, those estimates were pretty off... I just pointed that out and I believe those numbers are pretty standard all across the US.
