Very much a A8 hatchback: similar lines & headlights etc.

Very surprising: HUGE front overhang!

No hexagonal grille?

Not revolutionary at all - since it's a completely new model, and could introduce some new design elements. Which makes me think the new A6 will be VERY conventional & conservative. Something between A4 & A8.

Seems interesting but still way too early to make any opinion except maybe this one, Audi will always be very adventurous when it comes to designing their cars, but they also should think about some stability in certain areas like the front bumpers and make their design across the whole range more unfied & coherent.

Btw, why is Audi starting (A8, A7) to use VW-like "tear-sack" headlight design (Eos, Passat CC, Tiguan)? The Audi version is only a bit more angular - while on VW the cluster has more curvy lines.

Not bad looking at all. In a way it just looks like a "GROWN UP" version of the S5 Sportback.

The side (except door handles, side mirrors) & the rear looks very much like taken from the concept car, while the front heavily follows the A8 design.

Why such a surprise? It looks like a Concept A7 with new A8-ish face. Hardly any news. They even axed the prominent hexagonal grille featured on the concept car.

It's just a typical Audi with sharper lines & edges - instead of round ones from previous generations. Same "progress" as done on Mulsanne vs the Arnage.

IMO the simplicity & clearness of design Audi has been so proud of is now somehow gone - with every new car introduced: more sculptural shapes, more complex elements, more decorative expressive details, sharp lines. Something modern MB & BMW are more known of. Audi following trends? What happened to "never follow" motto?

And I still get go over the tear-sack VW-like lights. Or like BMW etc. Something that NEVER was an audi design element.

I'm also disappointed in huge front overhang. There was such a hype about the new platforms with shorter overhangs - but now only A4 / A5 did benefit of it. A6/A7/A8 still have huge overhangs.

But I'm sure this car will sell quite well - just like CLS & VW CC do.

didnt really like the a5 but this bigger version of it seems better.
