October 2022 – The Alfa Romeo Tonale is one of the winners of the well-known "autonis" design competition. More than 14,000 readers of the magazine "auto motor und sport" voted for the brand's latest model as the "Best Design Innovation 2022" in the compact SUV category. Tonale, the brand's first electrified model, clearly prevailed over its competitors with a 30.2 percent share of the vote.

Alfa Romeo is regularly among the winners of the "autonis" design award, which took place for the 22nd time this year. In the past, the readers of "auto motor und sport" selected the Alfa Romeo models Giulietta, MiTo, Giulia and Stelvio as the "Best Design Innovation" of a year. In the 2022 edition of "autonis", 92 new models from eleven categories faced the judgement of the expert readers.
