Hi guys,

Firstly can I just say that if Mark or any other senior mods find this as spam then feel free to delete this thread lol. Also I have started this thread in the computer section as that was the closest I could find to having a link with a 'website' lol so feel free to move it, if need be.

Right, the website is www.occasionwearforkids.co.uk I was wondering if the friendly people that you lot are, could give me any advice/feedback on the site design, layout, structure. Anything that you think needs changing? Especially if we have any web designers/tech guys on board, would like to hear your views. It's not the most professional of sites you have come across but I was pretty pleased as 60% of the work was done by me. This is my first venture in to the online side of business so it's an exciting time for me. Let me know what you think and in advance thank you for your replies :t-cheers:

I'm no expert with these but the "slideshow" adverts could stay a bit longer to give you time to read them. Otherwise, nice website, hope it all goes well for you and your business :t-cheers:

Yeah I think it does switch between the slides fairly quick, will have a look at that, thanks.
Kash, the plan is to eventually replace all suits and dresses with models but that will be something I am hoping to do in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Thanks for the replies, and the good luck :) :usa7uh:

I like it, however I would criticize one point of design: you have the side elements (my cart, compare products, poll) but then you have a huge empty space, and then at the bottom of the site the bottom bar appears asymetrical because it goes all the width of the page, while the pictures and items to buy ionlt take two thirds of teh width.

You should fill that empty side space so that the page appears more complete and without the blank space.

Samewise, when you are in "product lines", you have an empty blank space at the bottom.

I think you should keep that design but alter the way it shows so that those empty spaces are filled with stuff.

Other than that, nice desig, quite professional and upscale. I love the luittle boy offering teh flower to the girl!!

Congrats and good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys :t-cheers:

I will definately be replacing the existing pictures with baby models so hopefully that will be a motivator as mentioned.

Raoul, I know where you are coming from but my idea was to make the design look as professional as possible yet simple. I didnt want the site looking 'too busy' if you know what I mean. What you mentioned is still a good idea, where I can put pictures of certain products or put a promotion banner to fill up the spaces slightly but thanks for sharing your thoughts.
