So, I decided to create a website
At first I want to say that it is not any kind of commercial, I don’t have any referral link or get any profit from this. Like I wrote in a previous topic, I have broken my leg and now I have tons of free time, so I decided to build my own website and write a little review, maybe it will be interesting for someone.
You can throw garbage at me, but I have been in love with Audi TT since 1998
That is why I wanted to create a website about it. The problem is that I have no experience in programming and crazy amount of money, so at first I took a look at 2 web builders: Wix and Weebly. They are pretty cool, especially their design possibilities, but functionality is really low. After a few days of trying I left them and decided to ask here on forum about people’s experience. I looked into Wordpress but it seemed to be too hard. I also got a recommendation to try GazZup software and I’m sticking around with it now.
After using it for a while I can say that it is pretty easy to start and user friendly, which is very important for me. Anyway, there were some complicated things. For example, I was confused with website’s admin panel.
To be more specific I wrote Pros and Cons of using GazZup.
Here are good things:
- No programming. The same is in Wix and Weebly.
- It is automotive specialized and pretty functional.
- Easy to use.
- They provide content.
- You can earn money with it. Not very useful for me, but if you seriously aimed to make profit, you have such a possibility.
- Low price and one-time payment.
Here's the list of things, that I didn’t like:
- As I understand they started only a few months ago and still in beta. I didn’t see much mistakes or bugs, but still you should keep it in mind.
- Design is not very customized, especially comparing with Wix where they propose a lot of different templates.
- A website you create doesn’t really have mobile version. I asked their support and was told that it is in progress, but I don’t expect it in nearest future.
In conclusion, if you have the idea of creating an automotive website, I would recommend you to use GazZup
