Lately I have been seeing both 400D commercials and D40X commercials. I personally have to say, that Nikon has more creative commercials, and this may be because they have to compete even harder against an established brand such as Canon. However, Nikon and Canon seem to be the only two names that are given respect from what I have read when it comes to purchasing a digital SLR.

Either way, I really like the commercial and the idea they have going behind this commercial. It targets all kinds of people and this is truly good marketing. Take a look and explore:

D40: Picturetown

nikon seems 2 be quite creative there,, it looks like Nikon mite have Canon on the back foot with the entry level market, all they need 2 put the nail in the coffin is a fast 12+ fps pro camera......

btw: My canon 50MM 1.8 Lense stopped workin, its not focussing, and my eos400d has been givin me slightly dark exposures on full auto:confused: ...:t-banghea
its goin 2 canon on wednesday.....hav e 2 rely on my S3 4 now...

Canon are slightly irritating me now,.,,,,,

The 400D underexposing, it is normal--from what I have read. The lense? Hmmm...that is odd. How much is that lense? Does it come with the camera?

One thing I have noticed, and learned the hard way, is to purchase good glass no matter what.

The 400D is a great camera.

The darker images are coming from the 18-55 Kit lense, The 50.. mm 1.8 was an extra lense that i purchased that is not focussin, should be covered by the warranty....my g7 use 2 give me much better pics than the 18-55mm..

micheal, im gona take ure advice and test my 400 on some better lenses and see if there is a difference...

:t-cheers:
