My Car Review - BMW 530i

Don't get me wrong, I love my 530i. It's just cheaper for my lease if I have it for two years and give it back to BMW. If I were to keep it I have to start footing the bills for everything. The car I have now is completely free, it's my work car. When they replace the fleet, unfortuently my 530i goes... I like this however because I get to try new things and not get stuck with the same car. I will be sad to see the 5er go!!!

Sounds like you are having fun with your new toy.

Very much indeed. It's called a intra-operative brain suite. Allows us to take MRI scans during the operation to use with the navitron system that we use to get pin point positioning within the brain. Very advanced and a huge leap foreward in surgical technology. Our practise is now the most advanced of its kind in the southern hemisphere!!

I have no idea how car lease works, how much extra does it cost to lease the car, and do you have to return the car to BMW In 2 years, or can you chose to keep it for a bit longer before returning, or just keep it for as long as you like ?

How long does it take for you to learn every single functions and control the machine, and how thick is the instruction menue?

It's simply my work car. I get to decide in a certain price range and they provide the car for me. They pay for everything except for fuel. After two years they stop paying the lease because they want a decent resale. SO I hand the car back, get a new one. If I wanted to keep the 530i I would have to pay out the residual value. Which would be around 65k. I think I'll just upgrade and stick with the free option for now

We have technician that work everything for us. We can't really touch anything because of the sterile environment. It has 12 instruction logs I believe. All the compuer controls are touch sceen and very easy to use. The navitron system isn't new, this is just an extremely advanced verision of it. I don't touch the machine, I just use a probe to see my position on a screen. Similar to a GPS system in a car, except it's for inside the head :D

That is similar to how ours looks although certain details are different. Our operating microscope looks heaps better then that one for example. Plus we have built in chairs so we can sit during the tedious parts of the operation. It does create a very futuristic environment which is has "freaked out" a few patients so to speak. Huge improvement to work with but for me.

Great review, cool points high-lighted, wish you best of luck with this baby mate :usa7uh:...!

Thanks mate :usa7uh:

Having some very good luck with the car as it has been perfect. Only 6 more months left with the beauty then I hand her back to BMW on the Full Circle lease and decide upon my new beauty from Bavaria...
