My Black Beauty

Human

You. The Road. Nothing else.
Just a few pics I took Saturday of my new MONSTER

First impressions: The ADAPTIVE DRIVE + DYNAMIC DRIVE makes a huge difference in not only ride comfort but makes one feel you're a Michael Schumacher. Everything works so well in tandem without compromising any BMW drive characteristics i.e. steering feel, precise steering and feedback. It stays a true drivers car and feels much smaller when driven hard and agressive.
Adaptive drive as an option is every penny worth!:usa7uh:

The Sport seats, the paddle shift controls on the steering wheel and the overall interior ambiance makes for a more sporty feel than I had with the X6 35i.

The V8 Twin Turbo is a monster! The soundtrack coming from the two huge tailpipes really tickle my balls! Honestly, the word turbo lag is non-existent!
The feel of the turbo's boost power is absolutely evident and the power of the V8 can be overpowering at times...I guess if you're not used to it like myself:D

Fuel consumption is VERY high, though I myself are to blame. RSA is a warm country and it only takes a few minutes before the engine has reached its optimum working temp. From that moment I just floor it, enjoying the enormous power! Man! I can go on and on raving about this engine. It delivers power so instantly and the auto box keeps up, changing gear seamlessly, though down shifts can be a tad rough sometimes, especially if you take your foot of the throttle and floor it again (kick down)...I guess the power delivery to the rear axle and the torque taken up by the damper couplings on the drive shaft to the rear wheels take alot of strain.

I will post better pics soon!

Looks great and I'm sure it goes even better! :D

Also, the car looks much sleeker without those roof bars. Congrats and enjoy!

Thanx Dominix, I did not order the car myself. I got it with 12 000kms on the clock. I will put it this way, whoever put the order in and drew up the options list did one hell of job

Looked on my registration papers - BMW X6 X-Drive 50i Sport Model.

Then called my local dealer, the ///M badge was put on the car by the Dealer Principle from SMG BMW in Durban where my car came from originally and was the DP's 'demo' car.

Strangely enough, it did not bother me because I thought it was part of the package....

Hey Human - congrats Oom. All the best and many, many happy miles china. Come take me for a spin when you're up in Jozi one day.

Btw, don't you think that this thread should be in the Owner Galleries section? ;)

Yeah, you definitely have to pick up Martin and let him tour around a bit in your car.
Maybe he will warm up a bit for the X range after driving :D

Very nice car and looks especially good in black. Do yourself a favour though and remove that "M" badge as soon as you can, unless you want to look like a complete fool.

You may change to owners Gallery, no problemo

Congratulations Human, I am glad you did pulled this. Many happy miles my friend.

I recommend a nice wax + clear bra.
