Videos Motor Trend: Audi RS7 vs Tesla P100D

Two stunning cars. I can almost get on board with Tesla now, but not quite. That interior is still way to amateurish for the price. The exterior though is as fresh as ever.

You can see why the future is electrification. So much more potential there , while petrol cars have it the ceiling. Amazing performance from the Tesla.

The RS7 Performance's acceleration numbers are barely better than those posted for the regular RS7. I wonder if the crappy California 91 octane gas is the culprit.

Curious that omitted a handling and track test. You'd have to be in complete denial to not admit the latest Model S' are 21st century automotive marvels.

That being said, I won't consider one until they develop a new interior from scratch with quality materials.

Let's talk in depth about the interiors for two minutes without actually showing the interiors to the viewer...

I agree the Audi Virtual cockpit is a gimmick and makes the infotainment needlessly complicated at times.

A better quality interior would make it a slam dunk but in the mean time, the brilliant drivetrain outweigh deficiencies in the interior quality.

Until you have driven one, you don't appreciate just how effortless but powerful it is. Forget the XC90 T8, i8, GLC 350e and other hybrid with useless electric only range capped at 20-15miles. You can drive the Tesla for days without range anxiety. There's nothing on the market like it that you can just walk into a showroom and buy now.

That didn't seem like a very nice comment. Unless you experience the car in person, it is hard to fully develop your expectations just because it is "an electric motor".
I apologise if my comments are abrasive.
The point is electric motors due to their inherent nature(Electricity and magnetism) have the torque available at the low end. With the ICE it is different, it increases with speed and then declines.
So electric motors will give you an instant acceleration, and the vibrations are supposed to be extremely low except when the bearings are failing.

I understand that. All I am saying is that most people need to experience it to fully understand the difference. You can read about it and still not fully comprehend it without the first-hand experience.
