You read it right. Porsche charges ridiculous amounts of money for most of their options. Yellow instrumental dials for example, is a 600 Euro option.

Is the SL600 currently not available in the US anymore? I just checked MBUSA.com and only the SL550, SL63 and SL65 are listed.

Nope they dropped the SL600 for 2011. I don't think anyone has even noticed. Simply put, it never sold well.
